Perea [ROLEPLAY]

{Head of Year}: "SALUTE!"

~Zara~

I promptly thrust my hand up to salute, desperate to not be singled out by him for "doing it incorrectly".

{Head of Year}: "What was that?!"

I stop.

"Who said that?!"

~Zara~

Oh crud. Not this again.

{Head of Year}: "Who said that?! Step forward, right now, coward!" I clench my fists, ready to punish. Damn kids. ""As if you care", huh?! If you don't care, STEP FORWARD!"

I salute with the others, albeit lazily because I'm still tired. I ignore what he says, even though I think it's directed at me.

{Head of Year}: I step forward to a kid, shoulders lax. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" I snarl.

~Zara~

I feel so sorry for her. Everybody knows what awaits you if you screw up during training; beatings.

I continue to ignore him, focusing instead on a boy who bursts in calmly, even though he's late.

I wince. Two people would be beaten. Eep.

{Head of Year}: "Let this be a reminder to all of you," I shout. "follow the instructions!" I withdraw my cane.

"No, that cane is dirty! My OCD!" I say sarcastically, trying to be funny but deep down I was somewhat sincere, dirt was the only thing that really got to me. I was normally so rebellious I was sort of use to this now.

~Sarah~
I can't help but laugh at the boy's comment, even though I know it's probably the worst thing I could do. Oh well.

{Head of Year}: "It's a shame," I grin. "we don't bother washing canes here." After my retort, I forcefully smash the cane's end at his back. I turn to do the same to the girl. "Didn't think beatings were so hilarious." I growl, and strike the girl with the cane.

{Zara}

I attempt to maintain a strong demeanour, but it seems impossible. I feel so sorry for them...

I wince, not at the pain but at the dirt. Uhhh! "Well that was rude!" I say, my posh voice coming through. Before I came here, my family was one of the richest in the entire world, but when then I made some mistakes and lost everything money and my family, so I was forced to move here. I hate it here!

~Sarah~
The cane hurts my back slightly, but after ten years of being stuck in this hellhole, I'm pretty much used to it. I manage to hold back a comment on it.

{Head of Year}: "Fifty push-ups! All of you!"

{Time progresses. It's now break time at the school.}

"Thank God." I breathe happily as they let us outside for break. We had to spend classes refining our aim. How boring.
