"The online forum Omegle, which randomly paired users in video calls in the hope of forging unexpected friendships between strangers, has shut down after 14 years."

I sometimes heard of that website, but wasn't completely sure what it was about. After recently learning that there were child predators and other questionable people on there, I'm glad that I never once used it (and even if there weren't, well I still don't like the idea of being in a video call with some absolute stranger, regardless of how physically attractive they may be).

I've heard horrible things about Twitter from my friends. (I've never used it.)
I'm going to say I think the worst change was Elon buying Twitter in the first place.
It wasn’t just Twitter that went downhill. Elon Musk as a person went downhill with that as well. He used to be an honorable person who would invest in the world’s future. Now he’s gone insane.

While some people like Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Gavin Newsom, and Ron Desantis were never good to begin with, most of those other bad guys used to be more honorable, including Tucker Carlson, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg. Even Donald Trump had his moments before becoming president. But then again, I could’ve said the same thing about Osama bin Laden, who transformed from a rebel hero to a full-blown terrorist that made it to the top ten most evil people ever existed.

It's kind of sad to me how it's possible to walk end-to-end through a major airport like the one I'm at now during its busiest hours and not get a single StreetPass on my 3DS. I miss the days of easily getting multiple StreetPasses just from a casual stroll through the college campus... I've only gotten a single StreetPass across all of my trips in the past few years, and that person didn't have StreetPass Plaza enabled so I didn't even get their Mii character.

It's sad to see it took them this long to do something with it.
I heard of the horror stories from YouTube and Tumblr (when I had access to my old account).

I've had the same Discord username for like... almost six years now, but I decided today to change it. it used to be very similar to my username on here, but now it's just "Buggy" because I feel like it's more personal, and even though I've had that nickname my whole life I've come to really embrace it recently hehe 💞🐛

Picture or webcomic request. Have a Mario Kart 8 scene where Hat Kid was in first place, about to finish the race, but a blue shell is after her. She gets out her super horn, but before the blue shell got to her, a Boo steals the horn, leaving her defenseless before the shell hits her (which is bound to happen before she crosses the finish line).

The beginning of the castle/fortress theme from Yoshi's Island and Song of Storms from Ocarina of Time sound so similar. It makes sense since they're both composed by Koji Kondo. Naturally, this would mean that Siivagunner made a rip of one of the songs turning it into the other.

Here they are for comparison. The original songs, by the way.

This happened to me in the game once except I wasn't at the finish line.

It is crazy how people born in 2010 are finally old enough to be able to use social media now...
In just a few more years, those who were born sometime after the release of Animal Crossing: New Leaf would be old enough to register for the Bell Tree Forums. There will even be a few members who are younger than some purchased chocolate cake collectibles, or just the chocolate cake collectible itself. And by the time it would’ve been 10 years since I got the Tetris Grid, I may meet a few members who were born some time after I joined this site.

I had the random thought earlier that Mr. Mime shouldn't have a cry in the games or say its name in the anime since it's, well, a mime. Even though Mr. Mime is just its English name and it's known as Barrierd in Japan, it's still conceptually a mime.

Never watched Detective Pikachu since it wasn't of interest to me, but I checked out the interrogation scene featuring Mr. Mime after this thought came to me and I appreciate how it was portrayed in that.

For some more songs that sound similar, Sky Waltz from Kirby Return to Dream Land and the Comet Observatory from Super Mario Galaxy have a melody that sounds pretty close. It makes sense since they're both on the same system.
