Shrek was banned at my middle school ‘cause this one group of kids would constantly bring it up at any opportunity and I mean beyond the point of funny. Like every single second. The teachers couldn’t even say the words “green” “layers” or “swamp” without them going crazy. It got so bad that all the teachers of my class put up no shrek posters and no dabbing signs (when they weren’t talking about shrek, they were usually dabbing). So every class had those two signs in it. One of my classes was technically one room with a large seperator and I sat right by it so I could hear the next class over and I heard the teacher say “You guys are really tense today. You have five seconds to dab and say “shrekshrekshrekshrekshrek”.

Shrek had that much impact. Wow!

I know the song “All Star” has been more associated with Shrek than anything. I even paired it with “Welcome to Duloc” (an original song from Shrek). And let’s not forget the “ogres are like onions” quote. One of my college professors even referenced that when teaching us about seeds, by saying that they are not like onions or parfaits.

Yup! I only learned in the past few years that it was in Mystery Men before it was in Shrek!

Funny thing is, I’ve never seen Shrek and never had much of an interest in it but I grew up listening to the soundtrack because my mom had it on CD. All Star was naturally my favorite song and I’d play it as long as my mom let me before she got tired of it and said “lets listen to some other songs now sweetie!”
 
Okay Nintendo, you’ll send your Nintendo Ninjas after any fan game you see, but you let these off brand Mario games on App Store and Google Play stay up? I feel like these are some pretty skewed priorities. Phones are a lot more accessible than PCs, and also, fan games are at least creative for the most part. These discount Mario mobile games have no effort put into them and even use Mario footage in ads.
 
I just realized how many times I wrote “23” at the end of a date instead of “24”.
 
I've had a black eye for a few days now and I don't think anyone even noticed it. Even my family.

Okay so after seeing her cry about not winning last week’s maxi challenge, the Esidisi comparison is warranted….
 
I accidentally cut myself really deep on my finger. It was very small but it wouldn't stop bleeding for like, an hour. It's been three(?) days I believe and it looks normal? Like when I switched the bandage yesterday the skin was practically separated, but now it just looks normal. It seems there's a little dry blood but I'm not sure if it's that or just scabbing. Actually miraculous how it healed on it's own and normally.
 
If I could, I would keep these guys as pets 🥰

I thought I got my mom's birthday gift at Bath & Body Works but I was looking at the bag and turns out I went to The Body Shop. Idk how I managed to mix up the two but I did. I shopped in a whole store thinking it was another store. So then I told my sister I accidentally went to The Body Shop instead of Bath and Body Works and apparently I was suppose to go to The Body Shop the whole time. So I got the correct lotion by accident. Good job self, you did it

I don't do that. What I do do is I open the scissors and spin them with one finger like a cowboy spins his revolver. Then I squeeze that finger into my palm and snap the scissors shut. 🤠✂ Yes, I feel like a total badass doing that. And then everyone clapped. 😛
 
You CANNOT tell me that this isn’t a cranky villager. I know personalities on GameCube were vastly different than today, but still, there’s no way that this is a lazy villager.

Most people probably already know about the Taylor Swift Super Bowl situation. Anyway, I just wanted to say that it’s not really her fault what’s happening. She’s just dating someone on one of the teams and wants to support him, it’s not her fault that that all of the cameras are focused on her.

Final note about the Super Bowl. They actually need to do this. This should have been done back when Band Geeks was newer.

I had a conversation with my favorite person today. It’s my first time speaking to her since my birthday. That was over two weeks ago. She reached out to me. Our conversation was completely normal? It seemed she was showing more affection than me. If this was a few months ago, I would’ve been obsessive and somewhat clingy. Today, the conversation went just like any other friendship conversation would have. When she saw me on my birthday, she opened her arms for a bear hug and I proceeded to walk (not run) towards her and give a one armed hug.

What happened? Am I over it? I know the “favorite person relationship” is very unhealthy. Things changed once I transferred jobs, at least on my end. Am I really in that much better of an environment?
 
I can’t believe that in the 2028 election, I’ll actually be able to vote.
 
I’m not an Ariana Grande fan, but her new song is addictive and has nostalgic 2010s vibes.
