Definitely agree with you. 🤝 I like the cartoony, vibrant and chunky feel of the original Animal Crossing. I liked being a pudgy child whose surroundings tower over him. The art direction certainly is evolving, but I don't think it's a bad thing. It's not my thing, but I just find the first game much more charming. 😁 Hopefully Animal Crossing tries a different artistic approach for their next installment, whether it's a mainline game or a spin-off. 🌟 Population Growing was its own style. City Folk was basically an enhanced version of Wild World and New Horizons is upgraded, more realistic style of New Leaf. I say it's time we hit reset and try a cuter, perhaps simpler, artistic direction. 🥺🌸 At this rate, the animals will have shedding fur and the humans will have facial hair and wrinkles. Let's not get to that point in visuals! 😬
 
I, on the other hand, like the realistic graphics new AC games had. It’s the soundtrack that’s gone downhill. Remember the hourly songs from the GameCube version? Remember the shop music from the GC version too? That was way better than the music from ACNH.

Oh, and those K.K. Slider songs (except for Welcome Horizons) sound like a poor man’s music or music made by elementary students. The hourly songs sound more complicated than that.

I remember which members were the Galaxolotls. I’ve been closer friends to them since the event.

But Camp TBT 2023 still isn’t any better than the Haunted Carnival or the 2017 TBT Fair. I remember those arcade games, and the blendy feathers, and Kracko. Oh, and the swear filter prank that changed Halloween to Christmas (whoever did that probably did it in response to one of my posts).
 
Today I learned why leap years happen. In 3rd or 4th grade, I read a book about it, but today I decided to search it up and find out in more detail. It’s actually kind of interesting, but the reason is pretty simple.
 
I just remembered that Kidz Bop did a cover of Katy Perry’s “California Gurls” and cut out “bikinis on top” but not “so hot we’ll melt your popsicle.” 😂😂

I think NH graphics are fine, but it felt like they toned down what made AC wacky and zany and everything felt too modern.
 
So I used an AI art generator to make some art. Sometimes, the AI generator is stupid. But other times, the AI generator does it right, even when you use just a few words.

Last time I used it, the result was fantastic, as this gives you an idea for a haunted desert.

Now if I were making a game, I won’t be reliant on AI art. I would use real art, including a haunted desert.
 
My mom has always claimed The Exorcist is the scariest movie of all time. She heavily discourages anybody from watching it.

Being a young adult now and making those choices for myself obviously, I still decided to appease her and never watch it. I did check out some clips on YouTube. It falls between very creepy/uncanny and also kinda campy.

She ought to watch (or avoid?) Hereditary.. I haven't seen The Exorcist but I'd bet anything that Hereditary is far scarier (especially if you believe in the whole demonic possession kinda thing)
 
why does the chicken from walmart always taste weird i s2g im not shopping at walmart anymore

i hardly ever shopped there to begin with but went one time because i had a gift card and everything i got tastes so WEIRD

I think her fear of The Exorcist is due to circumstances. She grew up in a restrictive and religious household, and as a teenager someone took her to a drive in movie screening of the Exorcist. She hadn't been exposed to horror at that point in her life.
 
I found out that Snake has lucky numbers for 2024. 2 and 10. I'm not superstitious but I find things like lucky numbers or lucky colours amusing. If I wear only wear black will I get lucky? I've worn black a lot in my life and never really was.
