When I'm prepping for posts under the basement, I spend some time thinking about creative/unique replies.

Sometimes these replies feel like Never Have I ever answers, except I very much have ever'd.

All jokes aside, this piece is actually lovely! Someone commented it reminded them of a crazy magician who tries getting people’s attention, but they finally listen when he uses dark magic. Kind of fitting for the season. (Some of it was the intro for the Vampira Show, after all….)
I think in 3rd grade? At my elementary school we listened to this series in music class and painted planets in art class with fun paint and maybe shaving cream? Or at least it felt/looked like it. I think I did “uranus” or “neptune” but i made it bright pink!

The Nintendo music app is lacking. I know it literally just released, but I feel like there still could be more.

There's only songs from the newest Pokemon game. No Xenoblade. Only two Zelda games.

tbh I just wanted mario sunshine.
yeah i agree, like i know they're going to release more in the future but would it have really taken that much effort to add more than what's currently there? why does it have to be like the nintendo switch online games? very questionable decision but I'm hoping it will get better as time goes on and not take ages to release more songs

the portable CD player which I have owned since 2004 is finally being put out to pasture. it only works about 5% of the time, the other 95% it struggles to read CDs and often gives errors. I invested in a new Sony brand portable CD player that should work much better. I hope to use it a lot since I have an extensive CD collection, and I have a few sheet music books that include CDs.

RIP Bug's portable CD player, 2004-2024. you will be missed. 😔💜

That sounds awesome! I only recently discovered “The Planets” and the “Jupiter” one is my favorite.

Honestly, going back to read favorite old FanFiction before 2005 and seeing how most of them did not aged well is crazy.

Wow and Yikes.

However, I also wrote stuff that haven't aged well. Nothing serious though, but it still didn't age well.

No, just the characters going around and saying certain slurs. That will not fly today.
I can already guess what you’re talking about. But I’m going to stop here.

An earlier post I made here also pointed out a few things that were more common in older media (like 90’s to 2000’s) that wouldn’t age well. The Fairly OddParents (at least the older seasons) is really guilty about this.

I keep seeing things for the new color kindle and I don’t see much point in upgrading from my Kindle paperwhite. The new one looks really similar to what I already have and the only major difference is the color screen. I don’t see any point in getting it since I don’t read anything that has color anyway. The kindle I already have also still works fine and I’ve only owned it for two years.

What would be the perfect game to include in this new Nintendo Music app? Answer: Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. Not only is it the best GameCube game for soundtrack (imo), but the soundtrack was a blueprint for Super Mario Galaxy’s soundtrack (which is already on).

sorry for double posting but god i want a pumpkin glow wand so bad and there's one way i can get it but im trying to decide if it's worth it..

I was just blaming Pokémon Sun/Moon’s handholding problem on why the 3DS sold poorly on Discord before bringing up how bad most of the franchises were when they had their journey on the 3DS. Basically saying:
  • Objective Markers in Pokémon + excessive tutorials + type effectiveness in move information during battle = poor console sales.
It may be a fallacy, but it’s true older Pokémon fans were displeased with the Pokémon games on the 3DS, and that the 3DS was Nintendo’s worst-selling handheld.
