I’m not a drag queen, but I’ve been thinking of what I’d do for the talent show on Drag Race.

Lately everyone has been lip syncing an original song about how great they are and how they’ll slay the competition, etc. That’s nice and all, but to stand out you need something unique, like Anetra, Alvilda, or Jimbo. Or Ra’Jah O’Hara’s speed sewing in All Stars 6.

Since I’m good at word searches and crossword puzzles, I would do a “speed search” projected on screen of a bunch of Drag Race related words, and the judges’ names. (Gotta suck up!) But I would make it entertaining, like present it as a Wheel of Fortune parody and I’m dressed like Vanna White.

Idk if this would go over well, but this is a fantasy scenario.
I have no idea what my entrance or exit lines would be….lol. I wouldn’t want to go home first, but I’d want to be eliminated so I have a funny exit line.

If I made it to the Snatch Game…Andy Cohen or Arnold Schwarzenegger (I have Arnie down pretty good). Or maybe Jonathan the Tortoise for something really off the wall.

Also, my lip-syncing skills would probably be nonexistent. 😅

My entrance line would be "Ru, run me my money!" I would win so I wouldn't prepare an exit line.

JUST KIDDING lol I'd flop hard because I don't know any pop culture references, I only listen to heavy metal, and I have a terrible memory. This would make me unable to deliver a lipsync.

For snatch game, I'd do Bea Arthur but I'd do it badly for my vulnerability storyline 😂

People telling others for decades now to not rely/trust Wikipedia articles, which I still do.
But apparently it's okay to rely on things like Gemini and ChatGPT for stuff..

Between those two and Wikipedia, I'll trust the latter more. Which is kind of sad.

Great ideas! Bea Arthur would be a fun choice!

I think I would be OK at lip-syncing some of the 80s or 90s pop songs. 2000s and 2010s…maybe, depending on the song. I would be off with new stuff, though, unless it was Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, or Charli XCX (I had a Brat Summer!)

I have a long rotating list of celebrities I wish would be impersonated on Snatch Game, but never have. (Like Supernanny, Martha Stewart, etc.) But I don’t think I could do all those impressions.

Btw Jonathan the Tortoise is the oldest living land mammal (192 or 193) and is in a relationship with another male tortoise. (He was with both a male and female at one point.) It would be an odd choice for Snatch Game but I think it has potential.

I hate it when my dad asks me go somewhere with my mom/sisters, because it’s basically a demand instead of a question at that point, and if I say no, then obviously the reason has to be that I don’t ever want to do anything involving leaving the house (which of course leads to me having to do it anyway), and not that maybe I just… don’t want to go to the mall for three hours when I’m not even going to be the one buying anything? It’s not that I don’t like leaving the house, I just don’t want to do that particular thing. Why do I have to go to my uncle’s house because he wants to go on vacation and have someone come to his house when no one is there for reasons best known to him and him alone, and then the person suddenly says he’s going to come an hour after he said he would?

I don't understand how my room and the house gets to be so dusty even though we clean consistently. I know that it can be due to having pets and where your house is located but I just wish that there was a way to like coat your house in some type of spray that makes it dust proof... wouldn't that be great? I guess until that is invented I will continue to clean and vacuum often.

Uh oh, I think I'm starting to develop a new fixation! 😯🤭

Lately, I've been looking up some Sam and Max stuff online, and I think I'm starting to get into it a little bit. I've never watched the animated series nor played any of the games, tho.

That one mission in inFAMOUS 2 where you have to nuke the beast before he arrives in New Marais can be seen as satire or parody of how video games frequently featured nukes from the late 2000’s to early 2010’s. Only the Ray Field Inhibitor can kill the Beast, but one of the characters wanted to nuke the beast before that final boss.

So I decided to play "Higher or Lower" for metal songs... Despite all of them beings songs I already knew, I have failed so spectacularly. XD

Both Pocahontas and Mulan, despite being marketed as official Disney Princesses, do not appear in most of their merchandise unlike the six core princesses (and to a much lesser extent, later additions Tiana and Rapunzel) let alone several group artworks. This may have to do with controversy over using a real person's life as a fairytale in the former's case, and the fact that Mulan is not actually a princess (for that matter, neither is Pocahontas, but Disney felt that since she is the chieftain's daughter, that's close enough). Jasmine, Aurora, and especially Snow White, probably for the better, are also starting to suffer from this, in order to make room for Tiana and Rapunzel.
I understand why Pocahontas and Mulan weren’t being featured as the rest, but what’s wrong with Snow White? Why is it a good thing that she’s falling out of focus? I could also ask what’s wrong with Jasmine too, but this sounds like Snow White is just as controversial as Pocahontas to market as a Disney Princess.

The other day, I realized something about labels. While we all were told that slurs are offensive and that some labels are now deemed slurs, I don’t think it’s just slurs that we shouldn’t say. Pretty much any slang term that labels a person or a group of people of any type (such as “Sony pony”, “Genwunner”, “chick”, or “SJW”) can be considered offensive, as it would be better to refer to them by their real name, a generic label (like “boy” or “girl”), or a professional label. So instead of saying the word “furry”, you should say “animal fan”. Instead of saying “brony”, you should say “male my little pony fan”.

Slurs are specifically oppressive words that have been used towards marginalized people, they aren't just "offensive words".

"Furry" is also not an offensive word at all; furries call themselves this and their community is called the furry community. Immature people just use it as an insult similarly to how they use "gay" or "girl" as an insult.

I grew up convinced I was stupid because I didn't understand math.

It didn't hit me until college that I could leave the room and do good at other things like placing together abstract ideas in psychology. Then suddenly I'm not the stupid person sitting in math class anymore.

Then I realized, much like human beings, intelligence isn't always such a static black and white.

I may have said this before, but I don’t understand the whole “clowns are creepy” thing. When I was a kid, I went as a clown for Halloween and was so PUMPED to show off the costume!

I know about “It” and other clown-related horror, but I didn’t until I was older. When I was little, I watched the KidSongs circus video. Some of the kids got to dress up like clowns. So I asked my mom, “What’s a clown supposed to BE?” Like they’re a fairy or elf or some other fantasy creature.

She told me they’re people who wear costumes and make us laugh. So…that got me thinking, I wanted to BE a clown one day.

So, I don’t get all this “Pietro sucks because he’s a clown.” stuff in Animal Crossing. And “ooh he’s so creepy.” I don’t get what’s creepy about a fun little costume lol.

I always feel the need to assume that someone is more "mature" than I am just because they're older than me, even if they're older than me by only a year or a few months.

When I find out that said person is on the same page as I am as far as how they're life's going or what they've accomplished in life, it makes me feel relieved in a way because I feel less alone.

Sometimes upgrading your air filter can help if you have central air.

You’re right that slang terms like “furry” and “brony” are no worse than slurs since slurs have been used in an oppressive context (or in case of a few words, abused to attack anybody, not just the groups they were targeting), and that they’re not comparable to hate speech or even profanity, but the point I was trying to make is that a more courteous or professional person wouldn’t even use labels like these because labeling an entire group by some slang word is rather immature. But I see that you agree with me that people shouldn’t use these terms as insults.
