I've had cats my whole life and they make excellent companions. but if you end up getting a cat and keeping it long term, then I would suggest investing in a self-cleaning litter box. they are HUGE lifesavers. I need to get one myself.I want a fur baby. I've been researching rats for a while but I don't have the space or budget right now. I'd gladly settle for a cat, more affordable in my current situation and the shelters are full of kitties in need of love.
Yeah, that's why cats would be better in my current situation.
