My grandparents are looking to adopt a dog but my grandma says small breeds like chihuahuas aren’t “a real dog.” 😂 Like, they’re small, but they ARE dogs. I can see them not being for everyone, though. (Their old dog was a beagle.)

I have to go back home tomorrow, leaving my dear love behind. I'm gonna miss him so much 🥺 but I just wanted to say that he's amazing, I'm so grateful for his love and support, and I'm lucky to be able to call him mine 🫂💓

also keep in mind that rats tend to live only 2 years, whereas cats usually live 12-15 years. I've had cats my whole life and they make excellent companions. but if you end up getting a cat and keeping it long term, then I would suggest investing in a self-cleaning litter box. they are HUGE lifesavers. I need to get one myself.

Yeah, that's why cats would be better in my current situation. Rats are high maintenance, lots of vet visits, lots of introductions because you can't have lone rats, short lifespan, etc.

I hate how I act around other people (irl). I always feel so awkward and don’t know what to say that’s not going to be weird, so I just opt to be silent most of the time. I love playing Dungeons and Dragons at school, and I’m friends with all of the other players so it’s pretty comfortable, but all of them and the teacher who’s the DM seemingly aren’t like that and say things that are funny or that aren’t weird or actually make sense in the situation, and I just sit there and say nothing most of the time because I just have no idea what to say that would be normal. Even though it’s a game where you’re supposed to be roleplaying and therefore speaking. Lol. That and my occasional inability to articulate sentences (as in my stupid ass will sometimes say a different word or mix up the placements of words somehow… idk how anyone can suck at speaking that much) are the main reasons I prefer staying home.
 
You try to get a good paying a job and they always tell you "Oh you need to have 5 years of job experience" and so you get rejected. You rely on Social Secutiy but if you make too much money they will be like "Oh you have a great job and making that much money sorry we will terminate your benefits" I swear everything is this country (USA) is so rigged like no matter you do you just feel like you're stuck in this never ending loop.
 
I'm glad I decided to change my alarm music... Not that there was any change since I still wake up right away, but I'm a lot less annoyed because I don't have to hear that annoying-ass default alarm first thing in the morning. And I think choosing Seek & Destroy was the right call, haha.
 
I NEED a good book to read. The last two I’ve read have been terrible. I honestly don’t know how I finished them. (Maybe because they were both in genres I like?) I kind of want to take a break from reading, but it’s become part of my routine. I have no idea where to start, either. I guess I’ll find something….
