I usually don’t play games or watch movies on their milestone anniversaries. As of now, there’s only one movie I watched on its 20th anniversary. Don’t know if I’ll ever watch another movie on their 20th, 25th, 30th, or any other anniversaries.

I think people need to remember that they should treat others like how they themselves would want to be treated
I feel like this is a forgotten practice sometimes

so happy that Canada won the NHL game last night. I saw that this was happening and I thought, man, the US has a lot of nerve. don't mess with Canadians and their hockey.

last week I was driving through Toronto, and I saw a guy riding a bicycle next to a snow drift while carrying two hockey sticks. you don't get much more Canadian than that 🤣

I feel kinda bad for people who were born on the cusp between two zodiac signs. It can be really confusing as to whether you're one sign or the other sign because of the whole "cusp" thing.

my mum was born on May 20th, she pretty much identifies as a Taurus but sometimes there's an overlap there with Gemini. thankfully I'm a solid Gemini hehe 😌🩷♊

I was born April 17th, so Aries-Taurus cusp, but I don’t really see it lol. Also, when I was born, my mom was told she could choose to have me the 17th or the 20th. I’m glad she picked the 17th. No shade to April 20th birthdays, but the 4/20 and Hitler birthday stuff would have annoyed me.

Question and Answer of the day:

Why own or use DVDs in an age of streaming?
Streaming services are very inconvenient. You’ll have to pay heavy monthly subscription fees, you may have to watch ads, internet going out will disrupt your movie, and not all content owned by the company would be available. While DVDs, despite being primitive and have lower resolution, are cheaper, can be watched without internet, and can’t be taken away by distributors once you have them.

I remember seeing that if you don’t play Wild World for a long enough time/time travel then your shop will downgrade. But I can’t find anywhere that specifies the details. How long do you have to be absent? Is being absent defined as not playing the game for that day or not visiting the store for that day? How many times can the store downgrade and how do you get the store back? Do you just spend the amount of bells initially required? If you have Nookington’s, would you need someone to come to your town again? I’m just curious because I really don’t feel like playing the game and I don’t think I’ve even touched my 3DS or that game since November, but if the last thing is true, I don’t want to go through the hassle of getting my friend’s 2DS to get Nookington’s back. I feel like it’s not even true in the first place since I can’t find anything about it, and I’m not going to start a thread because I doubt anyone would know here either. If you do feel free to let me know.

I think that was for City Folk, and that applies to traveling backwards in time.

No. I haven’t played it but I’m pretty sure it does exist in City Folk, but it works differently. There’s a feature where after you unlock Nookington’s, Tom Nook asks you what you want in your shopping experience and the option you pick will cause it to become that upgrade, and every once in a while he’ll ask you again (so there would be four options, and if, for example, you pick good hours, the store becomes Nook ‘N Go since that has the best hours. There would also be an option that would make it stay as Nookington’s). Hopefully that made sense.

I still don’t believe these rumors that Nookington’s will downgrade in Wild World. If the official guides don’t say anything about this, then I don’t think it’s true. People did say that you can enter Resetti’s house or see Nook in his PJs in Wild World, neither of which you can do in ACWW.

Yeah, I don’t remember where I saw it but I don’t really think it’s true because it would be stupid if they actually made it happen, but I posted that just in case since it does feel believable.

I think I'm the only child in my family who hasn't had a major acne outbreak because I know my older siblings had those before and I used to see them washing their faces with facial cleanser when I was younger. As I progressed through my teens I wondered, "When was it going to happen to me?" And then, it didn't. I'm pretty glad about that, to be honest.

It's present in City Folk. No matter how many long breaks I have taken, my store in Wild World has never downgraded. "Downgrading" in City Folk is solely caused by what you mentioned Yoshi!

After upgrading to Nookingtons, Tom Nook will ask the player for feedback; whats "most important to them" in a store. His options were along the lines of hours, variety, and coziness(?). Whichever option you chose would lead to the shop either staying as Nookingtons or downgrading to a previous level.
