I've been sorta wrapping my head around my brother becoming a dad.

I also know this might be one of the last times we spend time together more intimately. He'll fly home after the holidays and from here on his life will forever shift towards his new baby.

I have no issue with it. I'm excited for him and I know that's the cycle of life.

I really like this mug for some reason. Everytime I go and fix me some coffee, I always go for this mug.

"Anything to make the pretty boy feel special!" 🎵

It's okay when I can get big bucks elsewhere and feel fresher than a toilet 👀🎵

I was looking at a list of worst episodes to come from a cartoon. I didn’t even realize how bad “One Coarse Meal” was of a TV episode, not just a SpongeBob episode. Even the Porygon episode that gave children seizures would be a better cartoon episode to watch than that Plankton’s suicide episode.

The following would make you think I’m old, but…
  • I miss Windows 98 and iPhones before iOS 7 became a thing.
  • I still think George W Bush is the true leader of the Republican Party.
  • I still do things manually on my phone (oh wait, it’s “cell phone”, not “phone”).
And that’s not going into how I think games on the Nintendo 64 are better or how I like the older hourly songs in Animal Crossing better.

This song " There's no placelike Home for the holidays" could easily have a collectible line up.

Pumpkin pie, train, car, gingerhouse, matryoshka, holiday bell. Throw in a tree, gift box and or stockings.

Lyrics

Oh, there's no place like home for the holidays
'Cause no matter how far away you roam
When you pine for the sunshine of a friendly gaze
For the holidays, you can't beat home, sweet home
I met a man who lives in Tennessee
He was headin' for
Pennsylvania, and some homemade pumpkin pie
From Pennsylvania, folks are travelin'
Down to Dixie's sunny shore
From Atlantic to Pacific
Gee, the traffic is terrific
Oh, there's no place like home for the holidays
'Cause no matter how far away you roam
If you want to be happy in a million ways
For the holidays, you can't beat home, sweet home
Take a bus, take a train, go and hop an aeroplane
Put the wife and kiddies in the family car
For the pleasure that you bring
When you make that doorbell ring
No trip could be too far
I met a man who lives in Tennessee
He was headin' for
Pennsylvania, and some homemade pumpkin pie (some pumpkin pie)
From Pennsylvania, folks are travelin'
Down to Dixie's sunny shore
From Atlantic to Pacific
Gee, the traffic is terrific
Oh, there's no place like home for the holidays
'Cause no matter how far away you roam
If you want to be happy in a million ways
For the holidays, you can't beat home, sweet home
For the holidays, you can't beat home, sweet home

I think it’s interesting how both the protagonists in The Little Mermaid and The Hunchback of Norte Dame have songs about feeling isolated and wishing they could live in the outside world. (“Part of Your World” and “Out There”) But Frollo is the villain in Quasimodo's story, and Triton isn’t the villain in Ariel’s (Ursula will always be an iconic villain, but it is interesting to me….)

I keep having recurring dreams about being in high school again, even though I already graduated high school. I do miss being in high school, but I'm also glad I'm no longer in high school anymore.

At first, I thought that when Eggman and Shadow got killed, the movie would reveal that they actually survived the explosion. But there was a post credits scene that showed that Shadow was still alive, obviously, but not Eggman. I still thought they might bring him back in the sequel, but then I remembered that Jim Carrey is retiring from acting, so that death was probably permanent and Eggman won’t appear in any future Sonic movies. Which is kind of sad since he’s usually the best character and Jim Carrey is a great actor, but also a good way to send him off.

Also, as a fun side note…one of my little cousins was OBSESSED with the Hunchback of Notre Dame and wanted a birthday party themed around the movie. (She had a Dr. Seuss one instead.) But she got some Hunchback toys and started singing “God Help the Outcasts.” 😭

I used to have a friend who was a Jehovah's Witness, and she was weirdly focused on how we shouldn't celebrate Christmas because it has pagan roots and isn't the correct day. I was just thinking about it now, though she said it a few years ago but we were pretty young (lol makes me sound like I'm not literally on the cusp of turning 16, so I'm still young), so I never thought about it then, but anyway I've been thinking about it now. I don't think it really matters what day it actually is. Like obviously the 25th of December isn't the actual day Jesus was born, the thing is it's not about the date, it's about the day. Anyway, idk the girl anymore because I changed schools. She was actually pretty chill and cool about everything else, just insistent on that specific thing.
