guys i was talking about my friend about this screen and i just had an EPIPHANY!!

the open window with the wii remote set down is supposed to convey that the person who was playing with the wii is away and most likely outside. i actually never realized this until now despite the clear labeling mainly because when i was younger i was so focused on the color scheme of this image and how the window curtains appear to be blowing because of the wind, i used to imagine how good the breeze feels in the room.

it’s crazy how much detail you can miss even if it’s clearly labeled if you’re hyper focused on other elements. of course i knew this meant “take a break” but i always thought that pairing this image with it was odd but now i realize it represents physically leaving your wii to GO TOUCH SOME GRASS. i know i sound like a crazy person lol.

and that’s my after 9 PM thought for the day.

Saying a 25-year-old is “pushing 30” is a red flag in my book. Not that 30 is old (I’ll turn 29 later this month), but…Idk it just sounds rudely worded.

Why not ? We have a bee collectible so why not some ants. Would have been fun to see a few ants appear next to the flowers because of the ice cream.
 
Ever since I got my Steam Deck I haven't touched my Switch and honestly the Switch 2 doesn't make me excited either. I dunno if the next exclusive AC or Pokémon is enough to make me want to buy a whole new console, the Steam Deck is everything I need. 🫤

Same. I actually sold my Switch Lite to help pay for my Steam Deck. I was/am also upset with Nintendo about performance and missing content stuff as one reason, but I made the change due to really enjoying indie games, the games not being locked into a particular console for eternity, and it's just waaay more affordable.
I didn't think the prices for Nintendo would jump as much as they did, but I was expecting higher prices and I knew that would push my wallet.
Even if I wanted to get the Switch 2, it wouldn't happen due to cost of it and the games both. Maaaay be I would be willing to buy if my games wouldn't be locked on it, because I enjoy animal crossing so much and I have interest in Tomodachi, but they will as always. And it would still be over $700 for 3 first party games plus the system and tax.. and I just can't justify that...
I don't know if tariffs will play a roll in the console price either. $450 is just the manufacturer's suggest tag.
Either way, I'll just play my steam deck until it dies, then I'll probably look into a gaming laptop because I don't know how the future will be between Canada and the US. And if I remember right, Valve is Canadian.


Edit also you can play steam games on your phone too. Even with a controller.
