Nintendo is much quicker to shut down online services than other major gaming companies. I'm really not into this business practice at all.

finding this out as soon as i decide i wanted to get back into acpc because i missed the 6am music… but it doesn’t seem too bad ngl
i wonder how many (or how little…) features we’ll get in the new app. honestly, if it’s the same as it is now but offline and without in-game transactions i wouldn’t mind! i just hope that events still exist

I played for a bit with the intent to just connect long enough to unlock a few items in ACNH (I wanted the sign mainly for my campground, lol) and ended up getting hooked for a few months instead. I still have it installed, just never play it.
What has me curious now is what's going to happen to the items in ACNH- are people with new save files going to no longer be able to unlock these items? Are you going to have to get them from someone with access to them? Or are they just going to offer them to everyone/no one anymore?

To be fair the game is 7 years old, I think it lived quite a long life for a mobile game.
Really looking forward knowing what to expect of the paid version of the app.

I wonder what the paid app will be. If it really is every single item released available without additional purchases then I may actually get it and play again. Depending of course how much the app would cost.
i’d love for it to cost less than $5 usd since i’ma cheapskate, but realistically i’ll hope for less than $10 or $15 usd.
as for its release date, i’d expect it to come out at most a few days after, especially since we’ve known about this game coming out for over a month now. however, since it’s nintendo i unfortunately wouldn’t be surprised if it takes them at least 2 weeks to release it
