Pokémon Pokemon General

Today I tried doing Chien-Pao and no luck with getting a Jolly nature after the 30th Chien-Pao.
Finally got a Jolly Chien-Pao with Alert to Sounds and now working on Ting-Lu. It'll be tougher because I used Pawmot's Nuzzle for the previous two. I'm thinking maybe a Spore user would be best for it so...Breloom? I'll be trying for an Impish, Careful or Adamant nature for the Ting-Lu (3/25) so it thankfully it won't be as anxiety-inducing like the Chien-Pao (1/25).

I am so close to unlocking Chien Pao but I cannot for the life of me find where the final stake I’m missing is hiding! I’ve been trying to find it since April. It is one of the two Ruination Pokémon that I really want to catch and use.

I want a Galarian Slowking on a team I'm making for a Violet playthrough, so I'm finally going back to Sword to play the DLC. I didn't enjoy the base game of Sword & Shield, so never went back and tried the DLC until now.

I'm reminded that Sword & Shield lack orange hair and am disappointed again. Why are X & Y and Legends Arceus the only games that included orange as an option? Scarlet & Violet at least had "Scarlet" which was at least close even though still not right. Sword & Shield just has like, actual red. Kind of ludicrous for the highest grossing franchise in the world to not include an actual real world hair color.
I never noticed this before (I don't have orange hair so I don't look for it), but this is crazy on their part.

I'm not sure how you feel about it, but I know Serebii has a map with all the stake locations on it. If you click the stakes, in-game pictures should show too, to help you see where they are.

I have been using that map. I spent six hours trying to figure which one I’m missing and kept ending up in the same exact spot! Even the marker function didn’t help.

Got a Ting-Lu with a Careful nature and Capable of Taking Hits. First of the three I found and I want to protect my sanity so I accepted it.

Wo-Chien ✔️
Chien-Pao ✔️
Ting-Lu ✔️

Only one left and ironically it was the first one that I discovered...Chi-Yu. Going for a Timid or Modest nature. Once I catch it I'll finally be caught up for the DLC.

Caught a Modest Chi-Yu today with Mischievous. Timid was my preferred nature but Modest is still good. The battle theme for the ruinous mons slapped though so I'll miss that.

I never bothered to unlock 6 star raids even though I’ve long been at the point in the game where I could. I finally decided to unlock and wow, so much regret. Now 6 star raids take up the majority of my “board” and I haven’t been able to join a single one lol. Been reloading the raids for like 15 minutes.

I’m so bad at the six stars I’ve done and messed up several times trying to do them with random players online. Even offline I’m still terrible at them and I’ve gone into them with Lv 100 Pokémon.

My main issue with the 6 star raids isn't myself, but my teammates. I almost ALWAYS get paired with people that don't know what the heck they're doing. There's so many examples of this I could list by now, but just imagine going into a raid against a Fire Pokemon that has a different Tera type and someone brings a Scizor of all things. Like, NO dude, the enemy can still have a Fire type move, and if it does, the rest of us are going to lose because of your crappy choice for a battle partner.

It's one of the things that has turned me off from playing these newer games much post-game, aside from several other reasons. I am enjoying the DLC so far, however.

I totally get what you're saying. It really does suck. While I've had my fair share of being stupid and bringing a Sandaconda into a Steel-Tera Trevenant fight and such, it really does waste everyone's time when that one guy just doesn't remember Pokemon types. Despite my Pokemon all being level 100 in my party, I really just never take on 7-star raids because I know I'm going to spend half an hour trying to get in a game with competent people. Like, you picked this 7-star raid to join, so play like it! Sorry, rant over.

They're really trying to force us to use multi-player in SV and it fails. Incompetent players really turn me off from even going online. However, its just the fact that they're forcing us to use multi-player that makes me not wanting to use it. Even in this DLC they are forcing us yet again with Hard Mode Ogre Oustin'. Normal was annoying enough so no way I'll play this game with others. I'll stick with Easy thanks. Quick finishes with quicker rewards. GF can't seem to get it in their heads that maybe some of us just like single player mode more and they should respect that. They don't...and that's what irritates me.

I have no friends that live in my area that play Pokémon and I hate playing games online with total strangers. I’ll only connect with other players if it is either in a Facebook group or a forum and we discuss what we are looking for and make agreements ahead of time. Online Raids are just nightmares to do. I didn’t even go online to do Dynamax Raids in SwSh so why would I do it now?

I also don't like playing online with strangers nor do I have friends that care enough about Pokemon like I do. I miss the days where you could just play video games how you wanted.

I would like the online more if they actually made it immersive, like they tried to do with the Union Circle. maybe a combo of the room thing from gen 4 (idk name) and the Circle would work? You could add in the standees from Wonder (exclusively Pokemon species, and some are only in one version, so you can trade them), and those would allow others to battle and catch that Pokemon if they don't have it. Shiny Standees would also exist, giving players a guaranteed shiny (Legendary standees would be locked, as is tradition). I think this is a good idea of what next gen could do, but idk. (By combo of the room and Circle, I mean free overworld movement with whoever you're playing with, and the ability to send battle and trade requests.)

What makes it a real problem for Pokemon is that it's clear from both Sw/Sh and Scar/Vio that the franchise is nowhere near ready to have online raids like this. In both instances they perform poorly, with severe lag and glitches galore. I've done raid battles on other games (which I eventually abandon because of the gradual push to make everything centered around these boring battles), but they're nowhere near as badly configured as the ones Pokemon pop out. Other raids also allow you to kick players who'll clearly be a liability, but we can't do that I guess because Pokemon is a 'wholesome' game where everyone is welcome or something.

I wish raid-style battles had never become a thing in any game. I hate most 'team up' online play.

I was just browsing youtube, and I saw a video that claims that the Chinese Riddler teased remakes for Unova AND an Original Dragon game (so Legends Unova). Knowing this dude's credibility, these leaks could be real, but still take them with a grain of salt.

Oooh, this would be exciting if it's real! That said, they really need to step up their game (pun intended) graphically and performance wise before they butcher gen 5.

Those who follow the Riddler know that Gen 5 games are coming (annoucement probably next year). I did a poll a few months ago asking users here if they were open to Gen 5 remakes. Most weren't.

Khu leaked that the unova games will be close to a B3W3 and made by GF itself. Its not a Legends game.
