Pokémon Pokemon General

I really hope customization comes back. The reasoning is silly, it's like saying people in the Hoenn Region don't ever change clothes. People loved being able to identify with their trainers. To me, this feels as backwards as if they took out the ability to choose which gender to play as.
The customization was extremely limited anyway. There were like 2 combinations I ever liked

-snip-

^ cant see any images bc school but i saw the npc trainers on tumblr so yyyyyeehaw
the tumblr post also said something about korrina?

Did it? I found it spread around various boorus, so it only includes new trainers. I haven't seen a mention of Korrina, so I can't verify that. I wouldn't be surprised though, they like putting old Gym Leaders into new games.

Actually, just realized I'm a dumbass and these were released along with the information of Mega Hoopa, etc. :V

Serebii Update: Japanese promotion revealed. Get codes for Shaymin, Keldeo & Victini for ORAS. Details @ http://www.serebii.net/index2.shtml

Pok?mon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire - Compatibility

Details have been posted on the official site about a scheme called Pok?mon Scrap. With this, from November 1st you can start collecting clippings which can give you codes to redeem on the campaign site from December 1st to get serial codes for various items in Pok?mon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire. While most of these are simply items, such as Nugget, Hyper Potion, Luxury Balls, Rare Candy & finally a Master Ball, three Mythical Pok?mon are also obtained through this method. Shaymin, Keldeo & Victini are obtained this way. This campaign runs in Japan until April 30th 2015. The clippings can be obtained in various merchandise including booster packs for the upcoming TCG set, Gaia Volcano & Tidal Storm.
There are 50 Pok?mon Scrap cards to obtain. Shaymin needs 1, Nugget needs 3, Hyper Potion needs 5, Keldeo needs 7, Luxuy Ball needs 10, Rare Candy needs 13, Victini needs 16 and finally, to get a Master Ball, you need 20

Damn beat me to it Jake. Wonder if this promotion will come over to NA or EU or AUS.

I kinda want it to just because it'd be cool, but if its only with TCG stuff then i probably wont use it.

Anyway, I found a pastebin with alot of in-game data from the demo, so I'll link it below. if you wanna view it outside of pastebin, just copy/paste the URL in a new tab, but just FYI anything ending in .zip then it'll download a file.
Also there are *spoilers* in the spoiler (because I'm also going to put things of interest in he spoiler outside of the pastebin) but it's nothing major, just things like gym/E4 pokemon/levels ok.

- Aarune or whoever the secret base guy has a level 23 Flygon programmed into the game, and it appears later at level 53. It's holding a Normal Gem, so probably no Mega Flygon this game.
- Gym Leader first time battle pokemon/levels (nothing about their names being listed again with additional teams, so unsure if gym leader rematches will return)

- There is no data for the Frontier Brains in the game (going from their names in Emerald) - Either they have renamed, hidden, or the Battle Frontier is gone.
- Pokemon models are in the pastebin (the 120x120 dex sprites .zip). i haven't downloded it myself, but people who have say that some Pokemon have had their models changed, such as Charizard and Xatu no longer flying.
- Smart contest stat are now Clever (this I can say is true because in the demo when you look at the Pokemon's contest stats or w/e it is renamed Clever)

- Though it does say under the new mega stats "Item Inventory: NO MORE MEGAS" so idk
-- That said, there's no data for a Rayquazite or w/e it will be called, it could be a hidden one, but since Ray is meant to have an ability of mega evolving unique to any other megas, it's possible it won't include a mega stone to mega evolve him and he'll either evolve when he goes into battle against another mega or sth
- Map Names http://pastebin.com/0sMLHj5F (lists Battle Chateau/Mansion (we know what they are from XY) but also lists Battle Resort (I think Tom mentioned this before?)
-- From the map, a few "interesting names" I'd like to point out
--- New Mauville/Sea Mauville ??? Idk maybe this is something to do with the reconstruction of the town? but Sea Mauville idk??
--- Trackless Forest/Pathless Plain/Nameless Cavern/Fabled Cave/Gnarled Den/Crescent Isle/Secret Islet/Soaring in the sky/Secret Shore/Secret Meadow probably something to do with soaring in the sky
--- Safari Zone is listed in the ORAS names so I guessing the SZ will return (and maybe not FS idk??)
--- A Faraway Place is listed 4 times. this might be something to do with like kanto/johto/sinnoh/unova since they aren't part of Gen 6 so when you trade in a Pokemon from those regions it'll say "A faraway place" and not "from [region]" but could be something to do with Mew/Faraway Island idk??
--- A place actually called "???" so idk
--- Funnily enough it actually lists the Kalos places in the data too, but nothing from any other regions (probably something to do with the compatibility of the two games or sth)
--- Island Cave/Ancient Tomb/Sealed Chamber/Scorched Slab, I'm assuming these are related to the Regi's? I don't really remember much from R/S/E so I'm including these since they could be new, but I don't think they are
- Item List http://pastebin.com/6ivRuLdX
-- From the item list, a few "interesting items I'd like to point out
--- Mega Charm
--- Mega Glove
--- Mega Stickpin idk what this is. It might be something like the NPC mega-bangle equivalent idk
--- Looker Ticket/Strange Souvenir/Colress Machine are in the coding (could be left over from XY/BW2 base model or w/e or they could be something in the game?) Probably left over data since on the list it also has the azure flute and S.S. Anne ticket
--- Power Plant Pass, idk if there is a power plant in Hoenn (there probs is) but if there isn't it may be related to the power plant in Kalos (or power plant left over data from Kanto)
--- idk thats all I could be bothered to look at LOL

Also I remember like nothing about Hoenn so sorry if I included stuff that was already in RSE and implied it was "new" stuff b/cos i dont rememeber whats new and whats old
And there's always the possibility that they didn't put all the data in the games, or put in some fake data to troll hackers, so not everything in their might be legit (but it more than likely is)

Just a quick question, I have a Japanese copy of Y (from a friend studying in Japan) and I'm getting a Japanese 3DS to play it, my question is that can I still download Japanese event Pokemon over WiFi even if I have a UK IP? I know getting location specific (e.g. Japanese Nintendo Zones) or serial code events may be difficult- said friend can pick up serial codes for me- or impossible but it would be nice if I can get the WiFi events.

Back when I had a Japanese copy of White I was still able to pick up Wifi events from my house without needing to go to Japan (lol). So unless they've changed it, I'd assume you'll be able to.

From the pastebin data, it's obvious there's a lot of junk data. The map names naming the Battle Chateau and Maison for example is simply junk data from X/Y, since it also lists the towns and routes from X/Y. That also applies to stuff like the Colress Machine, Looker Ticket, Power Plant Pass, etc. The Battle Resort being mentioned is interesting though, I'm wondering what that will turn out to be.
Sea Mauville was mentioned a few times in the demo. The naming is kinda odd, since the sea is not really neighboring Mauville City, being more connected with places like Slateport and Mossdeep.
"Faraway Place" is always used as a placeholder for locations, and will be used when trading Pokemon from OR/AS to X/Y. It'll say the Pokemon arrived from a Faraway Place.
The Mega Stickpin is what Steven used in the demo to Mega evolve his Metagross. The Mega Charm and Mega Glove are once more junk data from X/Y, as they are Diantha's and Korrina's respectively. Either junk data or they'll appear in the game, though their sprites weren't included in the dump.

Damn, I'll be pretty salty if we don't get a Battle Frontier.
I know it wasn't originally in R/S but still, I loved that place.
The other Battle Frontiers in later games pale in comparison.

they'd be insane not to put in emerald things into oras, since its the better of the three games (according to my brother)

rn in my game, in addition to breeding a 6iv bold/impish chansey with seismic toss, im ev training my kanghaskhan >:3c then ill work on garchomp or ask my brother to buy me a razor fang.

wow I just noticed I responded to the wrong person, top kek zzz

The last time we saw a Battle Frontier has been 2010, and even then it wasn't an original one since it was lifted from Platinum. In G5 it was replaced by the Battle Subway and in G6 by the Battle Maison. I'm hoping the Battle Resort turns out to be something of an original Battle Frontier, but it's hard to tell with just a name.

I just checked one of the pastebin things they've done, I don't see anything about that Mega.
http://pastebin.com/zPgwx6mb

Assuming that's some sort of Mega for Hoopa otherwise.
Open the Day 1 pastebin and look near the bottom. Apart from that, the heights and weights on this Day 2 document lists a separate form for Hoopa, so there's that. It doesn't seem like it's a Mega, but rather something else.

Cool to see we now know somewhat how Primal Reversion works, with the Red/Blue Orbs being held items. Jade Orb is still a key item, so we know Mega Rayquaza's different Mega Evolution doesn't work with that.

Wow the leak evidence says no more mega's?
I really wanted a Mega Seviper/Zangoose/Cacturne/Milotic/Flygon.

:-(
