It is awesome and fun imo, if you don't include the fact that the servers fail every 10 minutes or so >>

Same here. I caught an Eevee right when the servers went down. I really hope it saved...

Ok so I got on. Used an incense and like 2 mins later the server went down

So it's gonna get wasted

Can people usually just leave it running in the background and it vibrates and/or gives notification when you're near one?
Or do you have to leave the app running at all times?

I think the app has to be open on your phone, and I haven't checked for notifications when the app is running in the background, but when you're like on top of a pokemon your device should vibrate.

I think it's really random and all chance. I've encountered a few pokemon that I've only seen once, but I'm still encountering new pokemon very often. I'm up to 15-16 different pokemon in just my tiny neighborhood alone, and all I've done is walk up and down the street. Not even a mile away from my house.

So I'm actually pretty surprised by how popular this app is. I had a meeting on campus today and so many people were walking around on their phones trying to locate Pokemon. Everyone in my lab was playing it too.

Also, gotta love college campuses. I have like a million pok?stops to visit for goodies.

Lucky! I still haven't found one. I'm driving into town for a little bit tomorrow, so maybe if I'm lucky I'll find at least one...

its only two days and people are already taking over gyms.

i have no idea which team i want to join. i like blue so far because its a nice color. but all the gyms surrounding me are taken by the red team.
