Hello forum, hope you are all well during the lockdown. I just heard Pokemon snap 2 is coming to Switch in April! I NEVER thought i'd see a sequel, yet here it is... i'm pleasantly surprised! Big fan of the first pokemon snap and still play it to this day on my Pikachu N64.

How about you all guys and gals? Excited? Have you played the first one or would this be your introduction? Buying upon release or waiting a while for reviews? Personally i'm buying it upon release, I don't see them messing it up and Nintendo do Nintendo very well. 🦊

Oh, i'm very very excited!! I played the first one when I was still so young and you're right, I never thought for a second they would release 2. I think I will be buying upon release tbh and yeah i dont think they will get it wrong like you said they have released so many good titles sicnce forever back the golden days of gameboy.

Tbh, Snap on Switch is one of those things that has made sense since the console released. Heck...it would have made sense on the Wii U also. Frankly, I'm surprised it took them as long as it did. I'm also surprised that we still don't have Pokemon TCG on Switch...as it would be another no-brainer. Had 'Snap' preordered since they announced it. Day one purchase for me.

I'm so excited for this!! Already preordered. I played this and Stadium with my siblings all. the. time. back in the day. And now I get to play it together with my daughter who also loves Pokemon. It's kind of crazy that the franchise has lasted long enough that I get to relive a game from my childhood with my own kid.

I'm not personally interested since, while I had a bit of fun with the original game, I didn't like it that much. Also, when it comes to Pokémon, I've only ever been drawn to the mainline series of games, with the exception of getting Pokémon Stadium and Pokémon Stadium 2 when I was younger, both for the minigames and to be able to play the Game Boy games on the tv. The only sidegames I'd potentially have been interested in were the Pokémon Rangers game that would give you a Manaphy Egg, My Pokémon Ranch since you could get a Mew, and Pokémon Conquest since I like turn-based tactical games like Fire Emblem. Unfortunately I didn't find out about those Manaphy and Mew possibilities until later on and never got them, and while I could still get Pokémon Conquest, I missed out on DLC that can no longer be acquired so it kind of takes the interest out of me a bit. Basically, other than Conquest, if there's no benefit to me in the main series, I'm just not really interested at all.

I know a lot of people who are excited for this sequel though, and they've long desired it, so I'm happy that everyone who wanted a sequel for so long are finally getting one.

I’m really torn on whether to get Snap 2, I think the graphics look great and all the pictures I’ve seen so far and the trailers look nice and make it seem like a really peaceful game but I’m not sure there’s enough to it for me to justify paying the current price of it. I played the original game a lot with my siblings and did really enjoy it but I was very young so this was a fun game to me, though not as good as the mini games from Stadium, whereas now I’m older I worry that the game won’t seem overly interesting anymore. For the sake of nostalgia and reliving part of my childhood I’m sure I’ll get the game at some point but for now I’ll probably wait to see what other people think of the game.

Yep, very excited too! I played the first one when I was a kid in hospital, I'd bring my cartridge in because they had a Nintendo 64. Pretty cool if you ask me. Pokemon snap will always have a special place in my heart for that very reason, plus it was a really fun little game. Short, but fun. I hope Pokemon snap 2 is much longer, but who thought that taking pictures of pokemon was so fun? Shocked me at least, it's insanely fun.

I played snap all the time with my sister on N64 and still have our file with all of our pics. I preordered this one, but I stopped following Pokémon closely after Gen 2, so I decided to cancel. I don’t think I’d enjoy it as much.
