Rowlet is sooo cute, so I'm torn. But my favorite element is always water so I'll take Popplio. Sea lion is cute too ^^

Litten for Sun and Rowlet for Moon.

I actually love all three of them for once but fire types are my favorite so Litten will be my mainie.

Very disappointed with the water starter. The last three haven't impressed me actually. Unless he has a really cool evolved form, I'm going with Litten.

I have to say, never in my life have I seen people more interested in the grass type more than the fire type. But then again, regardless of how many people chooses a certain starter, we should all be true to our own choices, right?

Also, sorry for repeating but just in case, I'll choose Popplio. X3

a cat starter? *looks at username* gee i wonder which starter i automatically wanna pick

though being honest rowlet seems pretty awesome too. I think I just want that cute little litten more! :)

GAHAAAA! TAKE THAT POPPLIO! ROWLET AND LITTEN FOR THE WIIIIN!

What if Litten's later evolutions end up getting Fire/Poison typing? That'd make for an interesting typing situation!

I have to say Litten, I like the design and the way it's hair sticks up when it shoots, I can't wait to see the evolutions.
Rowlet would be cool but I feel like the typing holds it back a bit.

I always choose the water starter since they can usually learn an ice move to deal with the weakness, but I really dislike the design this time. I also hate cats so the thought of Litten is like... no. Rowlett is SO CUTE but I really don't want to choose Grass... plus with Grass/Flying having a dual weakness against Ice for 4x damage things might be difficult in the beginning.

I'd have to see final evolutions though since those are the one's I'll be spending the most time with. I might actually choose Litten if the final looks like some of the fanart I've seen.

There aren't really all too many ice types or ice type moves used in the beginning of any of the games from what I recall though... not to mention that ice also has a good four weakness's against it, two of which are usually pretty easy to find (rock and fighting) and is also resisted by four types as well (one of which is water, one of the most common types in the entire game).

I say in the beginning but I'm really thinking more long-term- you'd be shocked at how many Ice Beams I've been hit with in ORAS. It's the main reason I no longer have Salamence in my party; all that HP and all that Sp. Def and she goes down with one hit...

True, true. ORAS did have a lot of water type trainers with Pokemon that can learn Ice Beam. Considering that we are getting a region that is most likely going to be composed of multiple islands, we can probably expect to see the same in these games.

I'm thinking Rowlet so far. Litten is cool too though. I'm also not going to right off Popplio either.

It all comes down to how I feel about them when the game releases in Novemeber to be honest.

Definitely liking Rowlet and Litten. Though I'm going to wait until their final evolutions come out to make a final decision on who to pick.

but rowlet is also part grass
ahem grass moves
and any theoretical ice types in the TROPICAL region will likely be paired with water

It's Rowlet for me. I jumped up and clapped my hands when I saw it, and then sat down and felt like an idiot. It's so cute, but probably not for long when it evolves. It's nice how they've introduced a dual type basic starter, as that hasn't been done since Bulbasaur.
