Pokémon Pokemon you love that everyone else hates?

I have lots of favorite Pokémon, but i feel like a few of them are almost never mentioned, if not actually disliked.

I like Girafarig a lot, mostly because of how its cry sounds in Pokémon Stadium 2. It sounds really cute to me.

I also really like Spoink, though not Grumpig. Spoink fascinates me because of how fragile its existence is if you read its Pokédex entries. It get sick and weak if it's separated from its pearl. And each time it bounces on its tail, it pumps its heart, so if it stops bouncing, it dies. Plus I think it's super cute, and I'm amused by the concept of "pearls before swine" brought to life in the form of a Pokémon. Too bad Grumpig is basically just a regular pig.

I like Gogoat, too, though that's more for gameplay reasons, though I also like goats, and I think Gogoat looks pretty neat. I raised a Gogoat with Substitute, Milk Drink, Horn Leech, and Bulk Up in Gen VI. People didn't really know what to expect from my Gogoat, and when they gave him a turn or two to set up, he became unstoppable. Sap Sipper actually got some use, too, when unsuspecting people tried using a grass move on him.

I'm also a huge fan of Dewott, but not Samurott. Dewott looks super cool, and Samurott doesn't look like it should evolve from it at all. When I first played White, and my Dewott evolved, I actually closed the game without saving so I could go back to my last save and keep using it as a Dewott instead. I think middle evolutions in general often get overlooked. I also like Grovyle a lot, but that's 100% because of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, and I won't spoil why, since it's because of the story.

I could keep talking about Pokémon all day, but I'll stop myself here. ^o^;>

It's hard to know which Pokemon are hated and which aren't when there's definitely a wide range of opinions out there (for example, I've only ever seen love for Trubbish/Garbodor, which makes me surprised that so many people here think it's hated, lol). But there's definitely quite a few Pokemon that I enjoy that aren't exactly beloved by people. There's the Conkeldurr line (Timburr, Gurdurr, Conkeldurr). Love the beefy lad Conkeldurr becomes. I like the Vanilluxe line (Vanillite, Vanillish, Vanilluxe) as well, ice cream is cool (no pun intended), lol. And there's the Grimmsnarl line (Impidimp, Morgrem, Grimmsnarl), where a lot of hate was directed towards the later evolutions (in particular Grimmsnarl) from what I recall, but I like what they turn into, lol. Lastly, there's Archen/Archeops. My boy. I don't think they're universally hated, more just forgotten and almost never by anybody, but man, I love my little buddy archeopteryx a lot.

Sawsbuck isn't necessarily hated, but it's one of those Pokemon that people just kinda forget exists...but c'mon, it's a seasonal deer! Living in Pennsylvania, we have a TON of deer, and with Unova being based off of New York, which is relatively close, it just feels natural to me. Its shiny leaves a lot to be desired, but I adore Sawsbuck and its different forms.

one of my favorites is whimsicott. It’s not hated but i feel it’s a little underrated (like a lot of gen 5 mons)

If you haven't already figured it out, my favorite Pokemon is in my username. I think Emolga is mixed, a lot of people love but a lot of people hate it as well. One Pokemon that I think a lot of people generally dislike is Gothorita, I love her but I can see why people dislike her. What do you guys think?
I actually love Gothorita and all the evolutions. Probably my all time favorite.

Alomomola. Based on a sunfish (my favourite sea beast) and pink, aesthetically what's not to love? Apparently a lot as they rarely get a positive mention (in my experience).

I'm basing its unpopularity (not necessarily hatred) on an oldish poll, but there could be a hidden community of Alomomola fans out There!

I'm a big fan of the Timburr line... pretty sure they're not popular at all lol
besides Buzzwole, they're my favorite muscular Pokemons

I really like Bouffalant, I wouldn't say it's a hated pokemon but the afro is something I know some people can't get behind XD.

Unown is certainly one. A lot of people hate it because it has no viability in battle, but I don't really care about that. The Unown are world building Pokemon and they are a really cool concept.

I see Samurott get hate for becoming quadrupedal, which is really, really bizarre considering so many people complain about so many starters being bipedal. Lol. It's true that Samurott is quite different from its pre-evolution Dewott, but I think that's a good thing. Whereever Dewott was taking the line, it could have been as bad as Incineroar or worse. But instead we got a really nicely designed quadrupedal Pokemon and I love it. My favorite final state starter.

And I hate to mention a Gen I Pokemon, since Gen I Pokemon are put on such a pedestal and crammed into our faces all of the time, and especially an Eevee evolution, but Flareon. Flareon gets lots of hate for some reason, but I think it is adorable and it is one of my favorite Eevee evolutions. The other two Gen I evolutions, not as much.

I've always had a massive soft spot for Delibird. It's just a wholesome holiday bird. I also have grown to adore Beautifly, mostly because I had one that utterly carried my team during my first Nuzlocke.

I love Emboar and it's one of my favorite starters. I know the Fire-Fighting trend was repetitive, but you realize that Emboar actually benefits from being a part fighting type? It's super effective against the second, third, and seventh Unova Gym Leaders in Black/White. Furthermore, Emboar can help you against the Dark type Elite Four Member, so it can be a very useful starter. I think Emboar has an awesome shiny sprite with blue flame and his fire beard is cool. Besides Emboar, I like Maractus and Beartic a lot. I think Gen 5 has a lot of Pokemon with awesome designs.

Out of all the Gen 6 Pokemon, I like Chesnaught and Delphox a lot. Chesnaught has a cool design and he looks like Bowser. Delphox has a unique mage concept and I love the Fire-Psychic typing as well. Personally, I don't think Greninja is hated because I find that Greninja takes away too much attention from Chesnaught and Delphox. While I do think it has a cool design, Greninja's popularity was really overblown. It was totally unfair that Greninja got its own sync form while the other Kalos starters didn't. At least when Charizard got a G-max form in Sword/Shield, they were generous enough to give Venusaur and Blastoise g-max forms as well in the DLC. Even in the anime, Ash-Greninja was taking the spotlight away from all of Ash's Pokemon, including Pikachu. It was strange how Ash was able to form a better connection with his Greninja that he knew for like a month and not with his own Pikachu. And as aforementioned, I wanted the Kalos starters to get a mega evolution, considering that the Kanto starters got megas and g-max forms, the Alola starters got signature z-moves, and the Galar starters got g-max forms. Again, while I do think Greninja is an awesome Pokemon and it did help me a lot in my Sun team, I just find that it got too much undeserved attention, even more than other fan-favorite Pokemon like Charizard, Pikachu, Eevee, Lucario, and Mimikyu.

Also, I don't understand why people say that Lickitung and Lickilicky are gross for sticking their tongues out, especially when Greninja has a tongue scarf. Besides that, I like a lot of Pokemon based off inanimate objects like Palossand and Polteageist. Others I like are Incineroar, Meganium, Clawitzer, Golurk, and Aromatisse.

These two CHONKY 'mons make me happy 🥰 Skwovet & Greedent, why do people hate them? Make fun of them? They are perfection in every single way, and they are fun to draw. I would nickname my Greedent "Gnawty" 💕 Honorable mentions include Bidoof, Bibarel, Purugly, Oshawott, Woobat & Swoobat, Incineroar, Yungoos and all the Ultra Beasts.

pidgey, obviously. Pidgey is king. No for real though, eevee gets a lot of hate for being generic and predictable but it’ll always be my fave.

mr mime and hypno do NOT get the respect they deserve. they are just funny looking guys. mr mime is a little ugly but its also a little cute... i think its miming is very endearing. and i like hypno's pointy ears and big fluffy neck thing i would like to pat it on the head

i can't say i feel super strongly about them but i also think trubbish and the vanillite line are cute, i don't get the hate for them (especially the latter) garbodor is just Meh to me though

i'm surprised to hear people don't like the gothita line... gothitelle is one of the cooler psychics IMO!!! if pokemon were real and i was a psychic gym leader or something i would SO have one on my team. i think pokemon that look more human are just disliked in general (and sometimes i agree - timburr line and the forces of nature are some of the ugliest pokemon i've ever seen. sorry to the timburr fans in this thread)

I don't know if people explicitly hate it, but I love Durant. That grumpy metal ant was a pretty big important part of my team in Shield after I got him in an early Wonder Trade.

I have always liked the Pidgey line, part of the reason is that Pidgey was the first wild Pokemon I ever caught.
I like Trubbish, Garbodor, Grimer, Muk and the Vanillite line nowadays. I wasn't too keen on them originally but they have grown on me quite a lot.
