[Escape Tunnels]
"A robot can't decide things on it's own, right? Maybe it's just programmed to trick us or perhaps somebody is controlling it..." she grabbed at the thin bar above it's "eye" and started to wiggle it. "Maybe I could put it on a leash?" she chuckled softly in hopes of lightening everyone's spirits. She had seen all the words and scribbles, but decided against pointing it out. Teela turned her head to smile softly at Song. "Hey, are you alright? You look a bit pale."

"U-Uh--" Song bit the inside of her cheek and turned her head away, her chest feeling tight and almost painful.
"I hit my head....so I feel a bit dizzy." She made a point of wiping the remaining blood from her forehead. "That's all..."

[exit tunnels]
Adren frowns, turning to look at Song in concern. "Head wounds can be pretty serious." he says, "Are you sure you're alright? I mean, you could have a concussion or something." he says "If you need a minute to rest make sure you say something before it gets any worse..."

"Adren is right, here." she says. Xena rips a sleeve off her sweater, and ties it around Song's head, securing her wound. "Hopefully that should make things better for you." Xena says, while giving a caring smile. "I say we keep the robot on the leash."

[Exit Tunnels]
Teela stands up and stares at Song, narrowing her eyes for a moment. "If it is a concussion, don't fall asleep or read anything, alright?" She glanced around for anything that would be useful in securing the bot before remembering the long wires she had stored in her pocket. Taking them out, she had started to knot them together before tying off an end to the sphere. "I'm gonna pull it out now. Are you guys ready?"

[exit tunnels]

"I think I am ready." says Xena carefully, replying to Teela. "Make sure to keep it tied securely, we don't want this thing out of sight." Xena said, glancing around the area and tapping her left foot gently on the ground.

[exit tunnels]

Adren nods in response. He takes a step back apprehensively, truthfully, he is unsure about the plan, if the cords didn't hold the robot and it proved to be hostile after all, they could be in trouble. He glares at the device as Teela prepares to free it, let's see if it keeps it's word.

"The scientists told me that if I ever came off my management rail, I would die, but here I am!" the bot squeaked, its single eye darting around the room in anticipation of freedom. "Do humans multiply? I remember one pink lady, but you all look different," it said, recalling a past event. "She put me into the hot hole, and I burnt for many years, until the pink lady came back and reawakened the old manufacturing facilities! I was torn apart and rebuilt into something more useful, but then something happened, and I can't remember how I got down here."

A man by the name of Doug Rattmann, the only surviving scientist following GLaDOS' toxic gas rampage, had spent the remainder of his days trying to protect a young lady, who was his only hope of defeating GLaDOS, but this young lady proved to be too much of a task for GLaDOS, and so she let her go. No one had heard from her since.

But Doug remained, with no way out. No one knew where he was now either, but he built turrets to protect the human vault from GLaDOS, to no avail, and was partially responsible for the woman's escape to the surface. Doug kept a low profile following her departure, deep down in those exit tunnels, where GLaDOS couldn't get to him, but he had to move on when she began to reactivate these. The chalk-coated walls were his own doing, designed to keep people from making the same mistake he did.

"The land gave power to the big machine, and the big machine exploded," the core recalled. "I seen people dance and die, but they were resurrected into the soil, and will come back up as the ultimate sacrifice to our queen."

[exit tunnels]

"We will keep you on this "leash", if what you say is true then you should behave." said Xena cautiously. "Let's move forward, I'm not sure when this humanoid wire and metals robot will come back to hunt us. It could come back any minute now, so let's be careful."

[exit tunnel]

"Alright, let's get going then." Adren says, turning towards the robot, still distrustful of its intentions. "I don't suppose you know a way that we can get out of here? A map? A Secret door? Or, at least... a general direction?" he says. "We haven't really had much luck on our own."

(Chapter 3 has been split into two parts for this transition from the main game. Both maps will remain visible in case anyone chooses to stay behind or turn back.)

The humans have made it out of the exit tunnels and to an area even deeper underground. This place is a lot bigger, a lot dustier, and historical than the fancy, polished white innards of those above. With no way of accessing the surface elevator, the humans can only go further down, though turning back is an option should you choose to go it alone. Their new bot "friend" is their only source of direction, should it turn out to not be trying to kill you like literally every other robot they've encountered. Relay on it (or not) to maintain your physical ability to breathe.

This area has no trickery whatsoever, and nobody is trying to lure you into anything that may kill you or result in agony or brief instances of terrible pain. Please continue. Just remember that by the end of the game, only one of you will still be alive.

Song gave a sad smile. "Thanks for your concern but I'm sure I'm fine. Thank you." She repeated.
As the group progressed deeper into the tunnels, the air seemed almost to become older, more musty. Song wrinkled her nose.

[Deeper underground]

As they continue, Adren feels a shift in the atmosphere - the air is old, heavy, foreboding. "Guys, does this place seem...... off to you...?" he asks. "I think maybe we should turn back, look for a different way to go." he glances at the robot, "I don't suppose you can tell us where we are?"

[deeper underground]

The more they stepped, the less oxygen and more dampness in the air there was. Xena covered her nose with her sweater. "This place doesn't seem like a good area to be in." she said. "Maybe we should return and find another route, or we could keep going".

Song shook her head slowly and unsurely. "We've made it this far," she began, still pulling discreet faces at the dampness of the air, "we might as well continue."

[deeper underground]

Adren takes in the scenery of the damp, musty hallways. "I don't know." he looks around nervously, the heavy atmosphere making him feel anxious "I- I think we should turn back. This place feels weird, there has to be some other way out. But..... if you want to keep going, i'll follow you." he says

[Deeper Underground]
Teela stared down at the bot as it led them further in. "Smells like wet clay..." she uttered under her breath and grabbed onto one of the bot's arms. "Shouldn't we be going up, rather than down?" she softly questioned the sphere before glancing up to see that there were other tunnels merging into the one they were on.
