"Yeah, it's what I've practiced since forever. I know one spell that effects nature, though..." I say. "Lorem ipsum." A rose slowly emerges from the ground. "It won't slay a dragon, but it's nice..." I state, staring at a star-shaped cloud.
"Let's be exact, you can't just guess. If you do, you probably won't have the right element, which can... Do some crazy things..." I say, shuddering. "Tell me everything about yourself."
"Well, first off, I was born, obviously. I was a bit neglected as a baby, because I didn't have my wings yet. I grew older, and ran away into the forest when I was overwhelmed. I would sometimes talk to the trees, just to get things out." I pause, then continue. "I never felt like I fit in with the others at the lab. I was always too good with the subjects, too good at manipulating the germs and viruses. I never knew why." I sigh.
I thought a minute.
"You're special." I said. "You are one of the few people in this world that can control two opposing magical elements. Life, and Death. No wonder you are already adept at that healing spell. I can help you train, but keep in mind that I won't be able to perform the spells... I can only teach you what to do."
"There are six types of magic- Ice, Fire, Life, Death, Storm, and Imagination." I explain. "Each one opposes another. Fire and Ice, Life and Death, Storm and Imagination. I'll briefly explain Storm and Imagination, as they are special, rare magic types. Storm can command wind and lightning, and Imagination can summon many strange creatures. Since you communicated with nature when you were younger, you connected with it a lot. That's why you can learn Life magic easily. At the lab, since you manipulated the viruses so well, you will most likely learn Death magic easily, too..."
"Oh, you don't have to kill things. Death magic doesn't exactly mean... Death. It means controlling darkness and shadows." I say. "If you're lucky, you might be able to learn something outside of those two elements. Not much, but something. Like how I can use that rose spell..." I say, conjuring another.
I lurk through the forest, spotting someone- a young girl. Not what I'd normally do...
I grab a small knife from my pocket, aiming at her and then throwing.
It hits her arm and she screams in pain.
"Ah, geez.. You aren't a deer, but you'll do." I lie, walking from behind bushes and staring over the girl. I look at the knife, it's very deep.
