i know everyone's goin balls off the walls right now about this bein the end of tumblr but honestly i don't think this will kill itwe've had like, 5 of these "omg it's the end of tumblr!!!!!" moments in the past 4 years and while this is probably one of the most chaotic i've seen and likely going to damage it i don't think this is the end. honestly tumblr isn't the greatest but i'd be pretty sad if this killed it, there hasn't really been a social media website that i've enjoyed as much as i enjoy tumblr and i've never been able to find content/communities i like anywhere else as easily as i can there.

I feel like it will die slowly though. People have had their entire blogs deleted despite not breaking TOS, and it's exhausting for them to start all over again to gain years worth of following and aesthetic or memorable posts. Some users were able to get their blogs restore but not everyone. It's a long process/lack of support or they may just get declined.

I think I've had tumblr since like 2011 now and though I don't have that many followers or anything, (but a huuuuge amount of posts), I feel very split on if I'll be sad or not if I get deleted. I'd be sad because tumblr is a great place to post gifs and gif-sets. But at the same time, if it's gone, it's gone, ya know? I still have all the images I made myself saved on the PC anyway so it's not really "lost", just not online anymore. Though, I'd rather it just go down than for it to just fizzle out. It's sadder if your friends just stop coming online to a website you used to talk to each other on etc, rather than both being nuked,m ya know? Atleast imo. Weirdly enough I haven't had any posts flagged yet, so I'm probably safe, but I honestly think the idea itself was too dumb and that this idea itself might just scare people away.
I don't understand how the supposed intelligent bot is supposed to handle this. Tumblr staff at it's finest, making a bot so sensitive to nsfw that it literally flags itself.
So yeah, probably one of the most serious cases of "tumblr nose dive", but also probably the one I'm the most apathetic about.

Well, you can look if you aren't logged on or have an account. I did that alot until I was finally like 'I need a better way to save QRs rather than a ton of screenshots cramping space in my phone'.
Maybe I'll do that thing where I was thinking of making a thread with unique QRs I've seen over the years.

So all they did was clue the clueless in because the first thing I did when I found out about it was google yaoi tumblr and all of my anime heroes were suddenly seen in a refreshing new way (and now I even understand what THAT means) so yeah, am I even allowed to talk about this here? Well, I will definitely miss it. I mean the QR codes of course.

I've seen some lewd qr code designs. An annoying guy in a previous community wouldn't stop professing his love for Isabelle.
I mean yeah they exist, I've seen the banana hammock ones, both of them, the Isabelle bed body pillow thing, others, but then again people will make lewd EVERYTHING. EVER-Y THINGGGG. I've learned to ignore these post and look for that one path Ive seen in another pic, with no credits ;_;
