Guest, can you feel the love in the air? Valentine's Week at The Bell Tree has begun with a new mini-event featuring four activities to enjoy -- new and returning collectibles are up for grabs! Dive in to the love here.
That was a little strange, I think, sitting on my bed after closing he door behind me. As I pull down my hood again, I take out my class schedule, and read what I have tomorrow. Urgh, maths so early on a morning...
I wince as a fiery pain shoots up my back. I feel like pins and needles are coming out of my shoulder blades!
I stand, and try to distract myself by playing my card game with myself.
It's hot in the dorm rooms, so I take off my hoodie, leaving only the t-shirt underneath, before grabbing a book from the stack I had placed on the desk, and sitting in the desk chair to read. I could hear noise from the room next door, sounding like cars driving around. Is that boy from earlier in the room next door?
I arrive at my dorm. I unlock the door; the desk is already pre-cluttered with supplies. I slide them off of the desk, onto the floor, creating a loud, cacophonous sound. I place a long wooden rod with a gleaming red orb at the end onto the desk, and whisper a chant.
My cards get lost in the room, and I give up. I may as well try to meet new people....
I go out of my room, with my teddy bear hoodie on, and knock on the door next to mine. "Um, Hello, I just wanted to say hi.."
I turn around, surprised. I immediately stop whispering the chant; They'll think you're a freak if they hear the chants... I remember the words of my old instructor.
"Um, hello."
"Yes..." I say, taking it off of the ground. She's still standing in the doorway.
"You're welcome to come in, sit down, if you'd like. I'm Ramses, by the way."
"It is." I say, feeling a bit more comfortable. "I would show you some magic, but it would have to be outside; I don't want to burn this place down." I say.
I whisper a chant, and the red orb at the top catches fire.
"That's amazing!" I say.
"I can do...little bits a pieces of magic. The words just pop into my head.."
"Lapide qui rubinus." I say under my breath, and a shiny ruby materializes in my hand.
I finish the book after quite a short period of time, as I had read a lot of it before I arrived here. Bored of reading, I switch on my laptop, and begin surfing the net, looking for websites and stuff that will help me study when classes start.
