I was watching as Baby Mafia went down and now... I really want to do a Salmon Run mafia set in an anomalous 5th Salmon Run map.
(Let me know if someone else is already planning to do one that this will be colliding with tho.)

I was checking out the Guidelines (oops it was the Newbie Info thread) and saw that it recommends getting a co-host if this is your first time: I've run a couple weird games of mafia on other forums so I think I know the ropes, but I might be a little rusty.

Planning to follow the same schedule as shawo, because it seemed reasonable.

i believe @Mistreil was planning to host a game this week. i would talk with them about timings and all

i would also encourage you try out a game here before hosting! i think playing definitely helps your hosting capabilities. also feel free to message me about game setups! i’ve been playing and hosting maf here for years now

We've talked and I don't think there's a collision! But I am happy to wait until I've played a game too (and would be cool to chat about setups, thank you for offering!!). Do you know if there is or was going to be some game (I've heard a rumour) (edit:: wait it might be a secret) happening soon that I could join to get some experience?

to my knowledge only mistreil vocalized an interest in hosting a game soon. not sure if anyone else was planning to tho

You're not incorrect. There is a staff-run game coming shortly. That is the reason Mistreil kindly postponed their game.
