How are your adventures and explorations of outer space? The planetary findings, mysterious containers, and necessities for survival are all found in The Cargo Hold. As you all know we're collecting items to make our way back home and find Gulliver. I found these voice messages from him from this Communicator in The Cargo Hold, but it's bit hard to hear. I think there is a clue to getting back home.

⬜⬜llo? Ca⬜ ⬜⬜⬜ ⬜e⬜r me?

⬜ ⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜ ⬜⬜⬜⬜. It's urge⬜⬜!!!!

Retr⬜⬜⬜e ⬜⬜⬜⬜!!!

The voice communication cuts off here. It sounds important though. We'll have to make contact with Gulliver another way. Let's get our old text Communicator up and running so we can grab what we need from The Cargo Hold ASAP! But first we'll need to find the parts...

Task 🏁

A list will be transmitted in this thread at the specified times below. Both quarters in The Cargo Hold will compete to complete the list of prompts first. Be prepared to scavenge! And maybe do some odd jobs too...? You will work together in your team's personal thread within your quarters to complete the request list in real-life and prepare them for the captains of The Lopez.

  • You must include your TBT username in the photo with your item.
  • The photo must clearly display the item without any blur or question of what is in the photo.
  • You cannot craft the item unless otherwise stated.
    • If the item is a calendar, you cannot draw a 30-day calendar on a piece of paper and submit it as a calendar.
  • Only one photo per item in the final submission.
  • For the final submission, each item on the list must be submitted by a unique crew member from your quarters.
    • If your photo was chosen for your team for Round 1, you can still participate and submit photos for Round 2.
    • You can post as many photos as you want on your personal team thread, but the official submission post must have only unique members for each item!
  • The faster team that has submitted the most approved items from the prompt by the deadline will be the winner.
  • Teams must submit at least 80% of the items to be considered as task completed.
  • You cannot edit your submission post once it has been submitted in this thread.

How to Submit 🏁

  • Once your team has collected the scavenged items, delegate one person from your team to submit the list to this thread for review.
  • The submitted post must have the items in the same order as they are written on the task list. Please use example format below:

Round # - Team Name

  1. Name of item

  3. Name of item
    [insert image]
etc

Prizes 🏁

  • Participation: 5 Mission Tokens and 6 Cargo Tokens per round upon task completion.
  • Team Bonus: 100 Points per round to the team who had the highest number of correct items. In the event of a tie, whichever team submitted the fastest is the winner.

Frequently Asked Questions 🏁

  1. Does X count as Y?
Captains will not be available at all times to answers these type of questions as they come in. Since this is a race, it is highly suggested to not use ambiguous options as your submission. The whole quarters is at your disposal, please have all hands on deck!

Feel free to ask any questions below & good luck! 👾

I'm really hoping the items aren't easily found or open-for-interpretation because throwing us into an intense race after we both just had one feels a bit cruel without even a day's break in between 😥

I've got a lot of random stuff around my place. Like obscure random. Let's do this lol

I love these scavenger hunts! the timed nature is a little spooky (👀 ) but this is gonna be tons of fun! I like how the start times are staggered

ROUND 1

The Communicator is all jumbled. I think this is what Gulliver is asking for, but I'm not sure how we're supposed to use these?! Let's quickly grab them from the cargo for now and aim for a minimum of 12 from this list.
  1. Shopping cart
  2. Slice of bread
  3. Cordless or robot vacuum
  4. Printer machine
  5. First aid kit with contents visible
  6. Indoor slippers
  7. Sunscreen
  8. Musical instrument
  9. At least 3 canned food (same food item okay)
  10. Bidet
  11. Furry animal
  12. Magazine
  13. Christmas ornament
  14. Chess board with the pieces in play
  15. Barbecue grill

The Galaxolotls please head to the west division, and Actually, Nevermind please head to the east division of The Cargo Hold. Report back here before Thursday, August 3 @ 9 PM EDT with your findings!

(hope we're still allowed to chat in this thread) ok the indoor slippers for both teams are so cute. i wish i still had my fuzzy totoro slippers but i moved somewhere hot all the time and i have the wettest feet on this planet earth.

I hope this is seen as more constructive criticism than moaning, but Sort of wish this had of been individual scavenger hunts based on clues, and the team with the most the most correct entries after a window ‘won’. As a team based event it seems a bit disheartening as part of a team when you don’t even get a chance to contribute, rather than another speed based task against the same opponent as the last. Slightly annoyed to have woken up and the first rounds pretty much over with due to time zones…

Axolotls seems to have more members that are able to be active and post straight away during the day, atleast based on the wishing star task, and I know quite a few of our members were asleep when this dropped so having this straight after is a bit jarring. But congrats on everyone that got this done so fast, on both teams!

I look forward to the next window

So, if only 15 people can be included (or however many for subsequent rounds), does the whole team receive participation points or how is that distributed? >>; (because I know a bunch of us missed opportunity to take pictures for the team submission.)

My assumption (and hope) was that once a team finishes, *everyone* on that team gets tokens. Otherwise it'd effectively be an internal competition too and that would go against team spirit. (not to mention that with one person submitting the official post, you'd be introducing the politics of who they choose to get tokens👀)

ROUND 1 RESULTS

Amazing teamwork everyone! We were able to retrieve all items from the transmitted list from both divisions! At a slightly faster speed by 51 minutes, The Galaxolotls blitzed through and have earned themselves 100 points. Actually, Nevermind and The Galaxolotls crewmates will all receive 5 Mission Tokens and 6 Cargo Tokens.

Decoding this transmission is taking a few days, but it should be ready by Friday, August 4 @ 12 PM EDT. The night crew can now rest because the day crew will take over the next round!
