Wat??
I had Mr BC (Mr Burney-cumming< Mr BC) last year for maths, he treated me like I was stupid, when I was, statistically, top of my maths class.

Writing an essay, but I need a bridge. The essay's about the great importance of love. Any suggestions?

watch flcl > understand the world

explain to me what a bridge is, and I'll help if you don't mind me doing so. could PM if you don't feel like spammin up the school thread, but I guess this'd be on-topic.

@ doctor, pretty sure nook was looking at the teachers last name and making a crude/sexual joke.

A Bridge in an essay is a mechanic used to help the reader understand more about your topic. It is a known book/story/movie that has the same topic as the essay.

Example: If it were to be about pride and how corrosive/dangerous it can be, you could write two-five sentences about Cars and how the main character had pride, which cost him.

Or something along those lines.

two hours = too long?

eh.

then.. how about animal crossing, and tom nook's paternal love? he lets you come in, and on your honor to pay him back gives you a house that he built, lets you live in it for free/no interest, and always welcomes you with a hearty hello.

though he is stern (such as parents would be), he is always fair, and treats all of the player characters the same.

at times, there are even events where he opens up and tells you about his past, and you grow closer/learn more about him (your "parent") because of this.

or, if you don't feel like doing animal crossing.. pokemon, and professor oak's fatherly love, norman's (the hoenn dad/fourth gym leader) existence, or whatever.

or you could look at the simpsons, and their family love, or just whatever, I guess.

I dunno. anything can really be on topic :p talk about the forum's deep, seekrit family luv for one another that we would never speak about in a topic due to being flamed

and yes, doctor. dirty, dirty mind. D:<
