Self-Care is SO important!!

it took a lot of time for me to realize the importance of self-care... but i've been trying!! i like to nap, if i can, or watch a comforting movie! watching horror movies is also a big Huge self-care activity for me...

biggest one is splurging on a snack and making a bubble bath with salts + piano music haha :>
 
i'm really bad at self-care tbh

i treat myself to manicures, and i'm really happy with the results but going to the salon gives me anxiety
i buy myself sheet masks and once again i like the results but i find them gloopy and unpleasant
food treats make me feel guilty
rest days make me feel lazy

at least i have good old video games
 
I agree with you, having a mental reset is just so important!! I overwork myself a lot, so I usually take time on Sundays to myself. My absolute favorite self care thing is taking a super long shower, and do some extra stuff in the shower like exfoliate and put on lotion after.
 
my ways with dealing with anger/ frustration aren't very healthy (eg. punching myself.) and i really need to work on that

though today i was feeling kinda trapped so i just went outside and on the trampoline for a little and it helped me with that.

my anxiety coping is usually drawing if im in school (or music if the teachers allow it) but there is some times where it gets just bad to the point i break down right there

physically i dont really exercise (i wanna do dance but i can't) but i try my best with hygiene
 
I suffer from mental health disorders, so self-care to me is fundamental. When I am down, I lay in bed and play videogames or watch Netflix. Movies and TV series are a true blessing.
Cuddling with my dog helps me relax and feel better as well.
Otherwise, I take care of my body (eg. take a shower, put some moisturizer cream on my face, make up).
Also wandering in parks or woods makes me feel good, as long as there are not people around (because of social anxiety).
 
Self care b like: Yes these Lush brand (tm) face masks and soaps make me feel Fulfilled

The best self care I ever did was start homeschooling, as I became jaded with my peers, learning how to draw and paint, and stopped taking all medication (well, except for the occasional pill).
 
self care is just...... listening to music for me. or i talk to one of my boyfriends. helps a lot. sometimes i look at pictures of rantaro amami and it makes me smile straight away
 
As an introvert I often find I need to initiate some self care when I've been socialising too much! So spending time alone, reading or playing animal crossing is a good wind down for me.

also i LOVE at the end of the day, i will always take off make up, wash my face, shower and get cosy in my pjs to wind down before bed :)

and a cup of tea will always help.
 
I like listening to music, watching some YouTube videos, wearing comfy oversized clothes and doing my skincare routine ^^
Also drinking tea or matcha latte :3

I bought myself a cappuccino after doing a good job on a stressful presentation at school on Wednesday and I feel like that's the first self-care effort I've ever made :p

Idk, I always have either schoolwork or work work to do so if I'm stressed or upset I pretty much just use work as a distraction

But it's been a rough year so I'm kind of trying to be a bit nicer to myself
 
Meditation, a hot drink, upbeat/positive playlists, hot baths, starting a project, dancing, stimming, positive affirmations.
 
i listen to music, watch youtube/netflix, read or sometimes i’ll even just take a nap - sometimes all i really need is to just hang out by myself for a few hours under the covers and just do something that i enjoy :3
 
I drink tea, I like chamomile best. I also enjoy baths with Epsom salts and if those don’t make me feel better, sleep. Sleep cures even my most foul of moods.
