Pokémon Shiny Hunting Experience

I probably should've posted this a few days ago but... I finally got a shiny Suicune in Pokemon GO!



Okay so hol up lemme back up a bit here... so on August 18th they had a three-hour raid period featuring Suicune because they had just released the shiny form (which is one of my absolute favorite shinies), so I drove about 30 miles to go do some raids in hopes that I would get one (because raid groups are nonexistent where I live). Well I did two raids, and then my raid group ditched me. I actually cried for the rest of the day, and I got a seriously horrible migraine. It was a terrible day.

But then this week, all three legendary beasts came back to raids, each with their shiny forms available. I figured, welp this is my last shot at a shiny Suicune, so I went ahead and participated in the raid hour this past Wednesday. The very first raid I got to participate in was a Suicune raid, and against all odds... I got a shiny on the first try. The shiny gods truly blessed me on that day.

I'm still absolutely obsessed with it. It gives my heart so much relief to have been able to accomplish what I wanted when I couldn't get it before. I know it prob sounds stupid cause it's just a game, but I'm serious, when I missed out on it the first time I was really depressed, and now I've been happy since Wednesday. I can't help but tear up a bit when I see my blue bebe :,)

Just now, I got an Audino. I thought, "That looks like Audino... but... not???" Namely, it was light purple. What???
Opened up the info. Thumbnail shows ye average pink Audino. Nope, it's definitely purple. And it's got a red star icon. I'm just thinking, "Is this what I think it is???"
My brother looks up the Serebii page for Audino to see if it IS what we thought it was. It was.

I just got a Shiny Audino through Wonder Trade.

I've been horde hunting a bit lately. Caught a shiny Durant last night, and so far three shiny Weepinbell tonight. Aiming for a shiny Gligar.

EDIT: Tracked down the OT's YouTube channel and he does this a lot. Like, that's pretty much all his channel is. I don't know how legitimate my Mew is, but... I'm not sure I really want to question it.

Yeah I've gotten tons of shiny Pokemon through WT. The best ones are the shiny, 6IV, pokerus-infected, competitive Pokemon. Those are usually distributed by AuSLove.TV, Mitsuki.TV, and others.

Chances are the shiny Mew is not legitimate, because the only way to get it, as far as I know, was from an event in Emerald years ago. Still, shiny Mew is pretty dope so I'd say hold onto it anyways.

Some more Wonder Trading got me a Shiny Wishiwashi in a Beast Ball, of all things. My brother also managed to get a Shiny... Kakuna, I think it was?... (Edit: Kabuto.) through the same method.

I caught the Mewtwo on the last full day that he was out (He was out for a week, I got it a week ago today), and then I caught Giratina in the last raid I did during raid hour on Wednesday. Feeling v blessed by the shiny gods

I never learned how to shiny hunt. I'd run into shinies completely by surprise, or receive them over wonder trade, or something.

Ive caught a few shiny Mime Jrs, as well as a shiny Roggenrola recently. Both the Mime Jrs are female, though, so Im going to keep hunting for a male. Im also SRing for a shiny Kyogre.

I finally found my shiny Snivy. I started in September and found it today. (I took a break, I never gave up.)

After 5007 Soft Resets, he finally shined. I nicknamed him Slithers.

I've only ever tried to shiny hunt once, and I got a shiny octillery and a shiny poliwhirl!
Randomly, the shiniest I've gotten include: geodude (this was in one of those 5 poke encounters, and they were all using magnitude so I was terrified of it dying), delphox, phione (this one I did try to get via breeding), and a few others I know I'm forgetting, there are like 8 total, all of which I got in X

Omg my luck has been crazy this week!!

I started out in Omega Ruby, using the chain fishing method to hunt for a shiny Carvanha because I was doing a Feebas hunt in Sapphire and I kept finding Carvanhas. Within an hour or so, I found a shiny Sharpedo instead. I named him P-Pinku?! cause my friend told me to lmao.

The next day I found the shiny Carvanha, and I named her Olivina.

Later that night my friend told me I should hunt for Shroomish, so I went to Petalburg Woods and started using sweet scent. After doing that twice (and only twice) I found a shiny Wurmple! Wasn't what I was going for but I'm very happy that I got it. I named him Purps McGee (another suggestion by my boi).

Then I started hunting for Vulpix on Mt. Pyre. I started at a search level of 10, and I was chaining (even though chains don't affect shiny rates in ORAS) and I ended up finding it at 32! That was probably the quickest dexnav shiny hunt I've ever done lol
