Something I absolutely love about the game is the way villagers interact with items, and the fact that they just do things. Like run around, or sit on the floor, or go after bugs. I know they did this a bit in new leaf, but I love how much detail they've put into it!

omg yes, two of my villagers started singing together and it was adorable!! i love the interactions in this game so much

I have to agree! I saw Canberra running around in circles with her arms out to the side and I legit screamed.

I also love th graphics and added detail like the moving leaves on the trees in the wind.

Villagers are full of life! The graphics are gorgeous and sometimes I just stand there and stare at how beautiful everything is.
Outdoor furniture, and more freedom with placing everything inside and outside.

i love being able to place furniture outside and how crisp the quality is - i really thought new leaf was god tied with the quality difference between it and city folk but new horizons is something else

I love how the villagers interact with the environment! I never get tired of watching them. They're so adorable!

I also like some of the context-specific dialogue in this game. Once I gave Cherry a guitar, and then later on when I went to play it in her house she told me that it was a gift. Although once I found Nate staring at the sandcastle I put on the beach, and when I talked to him he told me that was a weird place for a sandcastle... Where are you putting your sandcastles, Nate?

The game just looks soooo good. I really love how we can decorate inside with New Leaf controls and HHD controls.

I love how alive the villagers are. And I actually laugh out loud at some of their dialogue.

I love the new textures on the villagers ! Like...some look so fluffy and fuzzy whereas others look grainy !

The graphics have blown me away so far. Villagers that I thought were ugly in New Leaf now look really good. I also really am enjoying just fishing around my island and trying to fill up my critterpedia.

It's a small thing I've been noticing over the last few days...

I've noticed that villagers can be inside or outside at different times of the day. I also noticed that when I left Hazels house earlier, she came out after me.

I don't think I ever noticed that kind of behavior in New Leaf. It always seemed like they were kinda rigid....on any particular day they were either inside or outside. (or at least it felt like that)

It definitely feels more like the villagers have their own agency and free will.

It seems like the villagers wander around town way more than in New Leaf too. In NL it always felt a bit like they just wandered around a very small part of the map. New Horizon villagers definitely feel more adventurous.

the changes in weather. i went from a cloudy morning to a clear night sky, with lots of wind. it was so pretty seeing it change over time

i also really like how the regular trees (not cedar) have 2 different variations?? one has a more vibrant green and the other is more muted. very lovely detail.

I'm so obsessed with how much life the villagers are given in this game! I love that they do so many things that the player does. I saw Teddy change into a shirt I mailed him today and it made me so happy!

I love sending silly letters with presents attached to friends; and of course getting letters from frievds too!:)

Villager interactions and relationship progression! When I started my town they complain when I talk to them too much. Now, they can’t stop calling for me, giving me random gifts and stuff. Billy even gave me a pair of sneakers that would look better with my outfit for that day (and it really did) and I was so touched I couldn’t believe it. They really seem more alive this time and the relationships feel more genuine.

I was shocked to see that villagers actually put wreaths on the door when you mail it to them! It is a great detail! I've sent rose wreaths to all of the girls in my town. I'm hoping to find more door decorations so I can find something appropriate for Hamlet's and Sherb's door. I would love something with blue in in for Sherb and something that fits Hamlet's personality better than just a flower wreath.

Yea that, and the tiny grass blades you can see in the background! It's such a small detail but I love it

The pace of the game. I know a lot of people are saying it's too slow, but I like it. It gives me a chance to really enjoy each new development. I look forward to the announcement each day on what has been added to the island.

I came here to post this. I saw teddy with a net or fishing. Sometimes sit in the side of the river...
I like that a lot.
