i hate the new ones they have nothing to do with the real stories
and u can only play as the same person
the games i thought were the best were Sonic DX adventure directors cut
Sonic adventure 2 battle
and sonic heros
i liked shadow the hedhog but i got through it very fast but it wasnt the greatest
i also think the sonic riders suck

I do miss the Adventure games. Those and Heroes are still my favorites. I really wish they'd bring back multiple character storylines again. Still...Unleased hasn't bad. They were trying to add balance with the Werehog, but they could've done the same by just bringing back other playable characters, and even better. But the daytime stages were A BLAST! Fastest Sonic has ever been in gameplay.

They're not iconic like Nintendo's mascots. They're just not... I don't know how to explain it. They're just...lacking something. Like a colorful personality. Okay, think Smash Bros. If a character fits in Smash, then that's what I'm talking about. I don't think Snake belongs in Smash Bros. at all. He's just not the type... There are some non-Nintendo/Sonic characters with that special something, though, like Mega Man and Bomberman. Although I don't really care for their games, they have that certain iconic thing going on.

Just because those characters are different than Nintendo characters and Sonic doesn't make them any less of iconic mascots.

In your point of view, they might not be iconic or mascots at all.
But in a 360/PS3 gamer's point of view, they are mascots because they were in the games that revolutionized the company and the console.

All bias aside, from what I have played (and I've played more than you'd think), I just can't get into like I can Nintendo and Sonic games. They're just not my taste. Does that make me "fail"? Because I just don't like Sony/Microsoft games? Everyone has their own tastes, and I happen to be very picky. Nintendo satisfies my needs in a game. That may not be the case for other people. That doesn't make their opinions facts, though. Everyone likes different games. No game if worse than any other just because you don't like it.

Never said that you failed for not liking Microsoft and Sony games. Hell, I hate some of them too. I'm also picky with the games I play. I'm not trying to change your opinion here because I believe that everyone is entitled to one. What I'm trying to say is that, try to be in a Sonic-hater's shoes. Think of the reason why we hate the new Sonic games. Yes, I've been in your shoes before Tye. I tried to see the positive side of the new Sonic games and I just can't see it anymore.

Maybe this will open your eyes.

I try to put myself in their shoes, but, honestly, I can't do it. I can't understand why they won't even give Sonic a chance anymore. I doubt they've even PLAYED the games. You can't say you hate something until you actually PLAY it.

And I don't listen to reviews. I hate IGN. You know what they say, all toasters toast toast you can't spell ignorant without IGN.

Okay, update time! So I've been playing some more... I got to what I thought was the final battle, and beat it. The credits rolled, yadda yadda yadda. Happy ending. Sad ending for me. I thought they pulled another Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity (I swear, that has got to be the shortest game I've ever played), but I was wrong. After the credits where over, I went back to the adventure map, and there was a new stage. And then...man, that was unexpected. A very good plot twist!! I won't give any spoilers...but I'll tell you that you wouldn't have seen it coming. And now I can play as Lancelot (Shadow), Gawain (Knuckles), and Percival (Blaze). I'm still waiting for Galahad (Silver) and Lamorak (Jet) to show up... Anyway, it's back to playing for me!

huh thats right it comes out tomorrow personally i pay no attention to reviews i glace at um yes but i make my own judgment. And id have to agree with tye, i think it looks like i rather good game..
