Ok two things.

Sonic is already bad, and a movie can’t pull off a Donald Trump and say “I will make Sonic great again”. It just can’t happen.

And the other, I saw that Kirby in a YouTube thumbnail that is of course, clickbait. So I’m not getting nightmares tonight.

First of all, what the heck. And second, this movie sounds so crazy, I would actually go to the cinama just
to see it, lol.

Speaking of live-action movies: I wonder how long it will take till someone comes up with the "wonderful" idea of making a Crash Bandicoot live-action movie, since Crash got pretty popular again thanks to the HD remakes of his old games.

Or imagine a Animal Crossing live-action movie, with some random kids as Villagers and real-cartoon-ish-looking like animal villagers. (For some reasons, I have the feeling that a AC live-
action movie could end up being way too cringy to watch it...)

I think it's unfair to compare it to detective Pikachu.

You know what detective Pikachu looks like? A Pikachu. The Pokemon look like the source material, granted with a CGI spin.

Even just the silhouette of Sonic in this piece of trash, it looks like a collage students weird art project. It's a man in a Sonic suit. It looks awful. I can't even come up with an optimistic spin on this, I've never had such little faith based on a teaser poster before.


Though on the other hand, it looks awful, which 100% nails the spirit of the Sonic franchise.

It's okay guys, this could be one of those movies that are so bad that they are good. That's surely what they're going for right? Sonic is one big meme so yeah.

Detective Pikachu actually looked okay imo, despite hating live action adaptions of animated characters. This I'm more skeptical about though because the Sonic series is already bad so I don't think a movie is going to dig it out of the hole it created.

I don't know how or why it became a thing to make live action versions of everything. Someone does a live action film successfully and suddenly something clicks with Hollywood that they have to make everything live action after one success. It doesn't quite work like that Hollywood, it always ends in a downward spiral, learn from your mistakes!

Tbh with Jim Carrey playing eggman I?m... cautiously optimistic.

Don?t get me wrong I don?t expect it to be good- I just hope it?s so bad that it?s fun!

I hope he can recapture his old zany quirks for this. These days he just looks depressed and nutty in a bad way.

all of the people who said detective pikachu is going to be the worst movie ever need to apologize and give me 20 dollars right now because oh my god. what is this. why is there electricity. sonic has nothing to do with electricity. why "sonic wuz here". is sonic the hedgehog going to be a wanted criminal for treason. the anatomy makes no sense for how he works because the legs are *gag* t-t-thick and since nothing is exaggerated and everything is humanoid the whole movie will probably look like this

I hope the plot involves a hedgehog finding a pair of magic shoes that turns him into Sonic.

Towards the end we can have a part where Eggman succeeds in stealing the magic shoes and Sonic turns back into a regular hedgehog...but then discovers that he didn't need the shoes, the power was in him all along.

Ok, so... Apparently, there is another poster with Sonic's full design on it, which was however
allegedly made about one year ago and could also not be the final design, as far as I was able
to find out on Twitter...

Keep in mind: As for now, this is a rumor and Sonic could look definitely in the movie later. I will
put the pic in a spoiler.
