<span style="color:blue"> :gyroidtongue: the updates are good so far, especially today. do you think they can keep it up? or  :gyroidtongue:

I personally think that Sakurai is failing to meet my expectations. Seriously, adding the Pokemon Trainer and bringing back Ice Climbers? Next thing, they'll add Sonic in.

If they keep screwing up, I might not pick the game up.

Just wondering, why would it be a bad if they bring Sonic to Brawl?

Because, Sonic would be a horrible choice to put into Brawl.

Would it be worse than having Solid Snake in the game? I mean, I love Metal Gear, but Snake doesn't fit there (unless they make him into some sort of SD version). Sonic, Tails, Knuckles have a style much closer to Nintendo's characters, so I think they would be good characters to be included in Brawl. Plus, the Nintendo-Sega rivalry would be back.

Dude, they made Mario and Sonic for that 'Nintendo/Sega rivalry'. There is no more rivalry between Sega and Nintendo, that only existed when the Genesis was out and alive.

Having Sonic in the game isn't as bad as you make it sound...

I know that the rivalry is nothing like when Sega was still a console maker, but still... they're even making the Mario and Sonic Olympic games. You're going to tell me that they haven't thought about Mario/Sonic's rivalry?

It'll butcher the game, epecially with his 'Special Attacks', though people claim that Sakurai will dumb down his speed and attacks.... which would butcher his character. There's no way to please the fans with him.

Sonic and Mario aren't really rivals anymore... if anything, it's probably Master Chief and Mario, considering that they have a crapload of fans on each side, and most of these fans are fanboys for that specific company.

I've already expressed my opinion about Sonic in SSBB: I think it's the natural next step for a third party character, and I'm almost 100% sure he's going to make it in.

Now... if there's anything I'm disappointed in with the site, it's the general lack of Ganondorf. C'mon, Sakurai, GIMME THAT GANONDORF UPDATE!

QFT....He may be one of the only reasons for me to pick up this game.

Personally, I think the Ice Climbers are okay, and Pokemon Trainer is only good for having Charizard in Brawl (by the way, Charizard's existence as a playable character indicates that the rumored inclusion of Ridley may not be as outlandish as many would've believed).

But I understand your annoyance with the lack of some character inclusions. It's like my one annoyance with the Kingdom Hearts franchise: they STILL haven't had Red XIII (Nanaki) make an appearance. Although, if they do include him in the next game, AND put that game on the Wii, they will totally redeem themselves!

Anyway, similar to that, I have a long list of what playable characters I'd want in Brawl. Arcanine, Luxray, Mightyena, Absol, Dragonite... what? They're all Pokemon? Tch! Fine. I'll list a human character for you. Issac from Golden Sun. There! <_<

Oh, and maybe one Laguz for good measure. Mordecai would be awesome to have in Brawl!

^_^

So, if you're wondering what the point of this reply is... that's a good question. I'll get back to you on that once I've taken this post in for scientific laboratory analysis.

If Sonic isn't there I will be complaining until the next Smash Bros... if Ganondorf (or Ganon!) are in SSBB, I hope they won't be clones.

That would be awesome. Kinda a Zelda thing where she turns into Sheik for Melee ;(

I'm a tad disappointed in their new character choice. I have no problem with Ike or anything, but I was REALLY hoping they'd stick a FE 7 character in instead saying it was such a better game ><

But hey, If I see anyone from Chrono Trigger get in there I will jump for joy so high that if you were to look up my house on Google Earth you would just see my eye.

*hem* I would also like to see Dr. Lobe. I think that'd be hilarious XD
"This is my good suit"

Ho, I see some Fire Emblem fans here... good, good. Previously, before the NSider Massacre, there weren't a lot of FE aficionados at TBT, but thankfully that's gonna change now.

:p

But if Ganondorf or Ganon make it in, they most definitely won't be clones. Sakurai said he doesn't want clones in SSBB... which makes me think Lyn was made an AT because she would end up being too similar to Ike.
