Starbucks Coffee Controversy

I was gonna say it's probably just like the "red cup controversy" where apparently there was never any actual controversy to begin with and it was a made up thing for views, to which people ended up taking seriously.

Then I read some of the tweets about it and while I'm sure a lot are people joking around... Jesus christ lmao.

TBH Starbucks could put a pentagram on their cup and I'd still give them all my money

Actually I'd probably be even more inclined to give them all my money

it seems like there is starbucks controversy every year, they should just stop making cup themes and stick to their original white cups

Why would they do something that stops giving them attention though?

because people get pissed off every time so why not just stick with the original and save themselves the headache

If they didn't care the first time they won't care the second. Even if a small percentage of people on the Internet are pissed at them, it rakes in attention and still rakes in more customers. If cup designs aren't actually hurting them financially they aren't going to have that headache and they aren't going to stop making them.

but every year starbucks still isn't unpopular, closed, or boycotted enough to be on the news. it's just a scam to get more attention and funds. i hardly call this a controversy though, it's only a few people who wanted to relate the color green to islam to get some attention for it.

Calling it a scam implies that Starbucks designed the holiday cup to create controversy. I honestly don't think they had any idea how insane people can be. I mean, it was a red cup. A RED CUP.

i hate starbucks but that is literally so dumb, why do ppl create such a fuss on something so stupid when starbucks has routinely not paid millions of pounds of tax in europe lmao

Oh my god, this is soooo stupid, i swear. I see no resemblance but the color green, and for the red cups, isn't red a Christmas color?

I can't see it as anything but this:

People are still gonna buy coffee from Starbucks no matter what design the cups has. It's only a vocal minority who has a problem with it anyway.

I don't get why people are flippin their cookies over a green cup. And last year, they were flipping out over a red cup. I swear people these days will keep trying to find things to be 'mad' about so they can pretend that their life doesn't suck.
