Started the game!!

So got really lucky, knew resetting wouldn't be as tedious as NL thanks to the awesome customization options we have now! But was expecting a few resets at least as I had a few permanent things in mind that I wanted. First time round, no resetting, found a map I liked that met my criteria, chose it as my definite favourite of the four, and it had a yellow airport which was one of my only important criteria and my favourite!! In love with the game and island so far - fruit is peaches - my fav are generally apples but not too fussed about fruit and like peaches too! And villagers are Flo and Bam - Flo being alright imo and Bam being great!! Only thing I'm not sure about is flowers - I see others mentioning native flowers but all I find is weeds - even the ones that look a bit flowery show up as weeds when I pick them! Should I not pick them and then they turn into flowers when they grow, or what? Not sure about this! Also what is essentially everything I can get done on my first day please as not planning to TT but excited to progress through these slower bits (which I do think is a good idea in this game!) as fast as I can!! Ahh! Great thanks, good to know! Was worried I'd accidentally picked a load of flowers before they were ready haha! Love the progression aspect of this game, makes it all the more exciting!

Thanks! Picked all the ones I could get to and sold them - good or bad thing to do?! Not new to AC but this game feels very new to me but in the best way!

Good ~ Later on in the game, you are required to pick all the weeds to unlock certain features. Don't want to spoil what those features are, though.
