Thought I'd start this thread because I LOVE tattoos, and I'm in the process of going for total leg/arm coverage right now. I love tattoo culture and history, and think it's all incredibly interesting. While the process (and healing) can sometimes be painful and suck, the end result makes me so happy and I end up feeling a lot more confident in my body.

None of my tattoos have any meaning beyond "I like this thing"- I have a lot of kawaii ones, pop culture ones, even an Animal Crossing one- but I know they do for some people too which is also pretty neat.

Does anybody else have tattoos? What do you have and do you have many? Do you have any planned?
ahhh i dont have tattoos but i really like them!! sadly im very VERY scared of needles so i cant get one... but i would love to get some

I have a small crescent moon on my right ankle. I got it after my dog whose name is Luna :)

I do not have tattoos but my fiancé does. It's not the thing for me but I don't mind it at all for other people. Maybe if something was extremely important to me I would get one, but I just don't see it happening anytime soon.

I have a few tattoos, all stick and pokes and were done while I was having episodes so that's fun, but most of them (all barring one) are pretty cute and they all have meaning.
I have '19-2000' on my ankle and Ill be honest. It's really bad. I got it done when I was 14 by someone else who was also fourteen but there's something about the terribleness of it that I find comfort. I enjoy the nostalgia and I enjoy the memory of being 14 and going to London, getting this silly tattoo and getting my butt kicked for it by my mum big time. I strongly believe in living my life so that I will have future regrets in the silly choices I make. I want to regret the dumb silly things I do in my teenage years, and I think the 19-2000 tattoo is the perfect embodiment of that. It's actual meaning is just a song I really like, it's been nearly 5 years and I still love it. 19-2000 is a great gorillaz song to be honest.
My next tattoo was 'Hope' on my left arm, just above my elbow and facing inwards so I can read it. People told me that my tattoos should face outwards so others can read it but I think that's stupid because my tattoos are for me, not anybody else, so that's why it's facing in. I wrote it into my skin because at the time that's what I needed. I was struggling deeply, living in a hostel and had all sorts of not PG stuff going on. The hope tattoo made me really happy, and it honestly wasn't that bad. I was a little tipsy when I did it (For the pain) but it's a decent tattoo and Im proud of it
My third tattoo is a bit of a dodgey one, I didn't do it so well. It's just below my elbow on my left arm, close to the Hope tattoo, Its wonky (only a bit albeit) and it's obviously a stick and poke but I wrote it because it's another important song to me. Kids by Current Joys is a song that something quite serious that I did happen to, and while it's not a pleasant memory it is a song I find comfort in and do not want to forget anytime soon. I like the tattoo being dodgey, and I plan to go back over it soon so it looks less dotty. I don't care that its wonky... that's part of the vibe.
My final, and by far my favorite, stick and poke is the triangle on my left forearm. I literally love It so much. Firstly: for a stick and poke home tattoo it is really f***ing good. It does not look like I did it myself and granted its only a triangle but it just looks so solid and good. secondly I chose it because I love Bermuda. I have no real reason to, but I name everything I can 'Bermuda - My Towns, My Starter Pokemons etc etc. Everything is Bermuda and Im well known irl for loving bermuda. This tattoo is my most visible and Im happy for it because I am in love with it and think it's the best thing Ive ever done to my body. I genuinely cannot express how much I adore my triangle tattoo. Im aware its common, and Im no unique person for having a triangle tattoo but nonetheless it is important to me and I adore it.
Im thinking of at the moment filling in the triangle in a few separate sessions so that it's pure black. Ive been considering it for a while, so Ill have to keep thinking on that one

I have 4 that I've done myself by stick and poke. I have the constellation Cassiopeia on my left hand just under my thumb (probably my least favorite of the 4, patiently waiting for it to fade), 3 glyphs on my left wrist which are the glyphs for the 3 things I value most, learning, empathy and protection, a semi colon on my right hand under my thumb, if you know you know, and finally, the first one I did, and the one which fades the most due to placement, a cat from behind sat on a crescent moon on the inside of my right ankle. I have a couple more I want to do, but I'm waiting, as my managers didn't like my others too much. I did them during the 2nd lockdown in the UK, and my assistant manager said they looked like prison tattoos :L

I was opposed to them for a long time, but now I’m considering a small Cosmog tatoo. I wouldn’t want it to be too noticeable. If I had to choose a spot, I’d put it on one of my shoulders or upper arms. That way I can show people who are interested, but it’s not in plain sight for anyone to judge.

I don’t have any but I absolutely adore this artist’s tattoos and wouldn’t mind getting one or something of a similar style done on my ribcage/thigh area. One of my concerns tho is that the finer lined tattoos will fade quickly and look bad after a few years? Would love some insight from people with tattoos experiences haha

I don't have any although like most people I went through a phase in my teens and early twenties where I really wanted one and considered going for the generic butterfly tattoo on the lower portion of my back. However as I've gotten older the desire to get a tattoo diminished and now I would never consider getting one even though I've seen some stunning tattoo designs ideas on Pinterest. I'd just hate to get one and then regret it later on knowing that without laser removal treatment I would be stuck with it for the rest of my life.
