Mafia TBT Mafia III: The Murder Before Christmas [Game Over/Town Win]

Is it jus me, or is this game going too fast? I'm a bit disappointed that we didn't discuss the lynch before hand. Basically day 1 was just arguing who's going to be mayor. Foxwolf wasn't even brought up until the last minute. And this was the third time he was lynched as a townie. (correct me if I'm wrong) I don't know why he wasn't brought up in the thread, but if the mayor and sheriff are only communicating through PM, you obviously aren't leading the town well.

Sorry second game he was killed as a bodyguard. My bad.
The lynch did go a little too fast, yes, I will take a lot of the blame on that. Ideally you guys would have had a clear idea who you wanted to run the town and the candidates would have had discussed who they would have lynched and why by the time voting was up. If I was a complete hardass, I would have asked Trundle immediately after his win who to lynch (could have been bad for any number of players) but held off as a had already made a mistake with the countdown that would have modkilled several players (9 at least). Should I have given you guys until 5 PM (EST -5) today? In retrospect, yes I should have. My question to you guys, rhetorically, how much would that have changed things? Do you all truly think you would have lynched scum given 7 more hours?

I'm a bit annoyed about how the lynch was just lynching a nuisance. Sure, it gets rid of a distraction, but it's a distraction for mafia as well. This is just like my lynch last game...
Lynching annoying players just wastes a lynch that could be used as a way to get a mafia. Trundle, you are disappointing me.

You do realise that hitting scum on the first day is highly unlikely, and games should be balanced around the assumption that day one will miss? You think that Trundle and I can singlehandedly pick out all of the Mafia one day one by ourselves, ESPECIALLY given the lack of productive discussion during the first day? What I see is someone complaining but doing nothing to help.

Our chances of hitting scum would not have been much better with much more time. I was solely addressing why the lynch went down the way it did.

I'm not sure what you're so all uptight about at this point. Yes, it was a bad lynch. We lynched a townie. There was no loss. Foxwolf never actually contributes and is a pain in the butt.
So everyone is now disappointed at us for not getting a good lynch in. Guess what? It's not fully our responsibility to do everything for the town. The town is a group who should work together. Right after I was elected I told everyone to try and pitch in by exploring posts and trying to find things. Only one or two people did this. Also, this was rushed, and I was gone 4 of the 5 hours I had. Finally, it's day one. Unless mafia make a huge slip-up, day one lynches almost never go well. Remember, I'm not a wizard. You shouldn't have to rely on me to do everything right this game just because I said I was good at analyzing.

I don't know why everyone is so angry for... it's better to get out a annoying townie, rather than a more important blue role.

And it's the FIRST Day! We have no evidence of anyone being mafiaso, so it was highly unlikely that Trundle and Karla would be able to take one down.

I suggest us, Town, to take an initiative and question the lurkers. I'm not saying to lynch them, but we need to get as much info as we can out of everyone. Lurkers don't help us. I'd like to start off with Lynn, Klinkguin, and BowserFanGurl. All of these three people voted with no particular reason, only a small time after the tie in votes. These votes could have very well been an election changer, which is why I want to question these three people. They don't scream "Mafia" to me, but lurkers don't help us.

Questions:
1. Is something in real life affecting the game? I have seen all of you active on the forums, especially Klinkguin.
2. Are you a disinterested Townie?
3. Why aren't you contributing?
4. Why didn't you guys give a reason for voting? (I'm sorry if you did post a reason)

This is just a start for Town in the chase for Mafia. Everyone should contribute, whether some disinterested Townie or an exciting role.

*I should add: BowserfanGurl was just a quick vote.

Great post, thank you! I'd like to single out BowserFanGurl for this post she made:

It's not really mystery. From my experience playing EpicMafia, it's pretty much strategy.

I never expected for Foxwolf to be a townie. All I can do is just wait and see who will be the next one(s) to be lynched...

So she has at least some experience in Mafia, and talks about needing strategy. Then immediately in the next sentence, says she can't do anything but wait for the next lynch. This is her strategy? It's this subtle contradiction that we really need to look out for.

I'd like to talk about what I put in Bold and then the Purple as well. Yeah, I agree they all voted without a really solid reason, but...

Bowserfangurl voted straight out of the gate, so obviously well before any tie in votes occurred or could have any real impact on the election outcome.
Klinkguin I really have no words for him. He has given us little to judge him on, only a single post, and his vote following the bandwagon for Trundle. However, given that he only needs one more post to avoid modkill, I think the mafia would've gotten him to make at least one simple post even if it was just congratulating the elected roles.
Lynn105 I am still confused as to why Blu Rose even was mentioning her? She voted for Laurina, but at least she actually did give a reason.

I really think Laurina would be a good mayor/sheriff. Even though in the last game she was killed quite quickly, she had very detailed posts. I am going to vote for Laurina because I think she could benefit the town with her well written posts.

Also, I saw this on her profile earlier:

Lynn posted on her VM Wall a bit earlier:

Hello everyone! Due to my Internet being switched later today/tommorow please note that I may not be here on TBT for most or some part of the day. D:

Hopefully she can get her internet switched in time to get on here.

Can we also talk about PikaSweet?

Especially her most recent post here:
Here we go with the noobish actions. Have you guys even read the other games?! Voting early is just a sign of laziness which means you don't care about the game. Step up your act!

1. NO I HAVENT !
2. SORRY IM NEW TO THIS SO BACK OFF I JUST DID SOME THING I DIDNT KNOW!

I DIDNT KNOW WE HAD 2 DAYS!

She seems aggressively hostile to being accused of simply voting early. Then she proceeded to remove her vote and failed to come back to recast it. Maybe it's just the case of an uneducated new player, but there could definitely be more to it.

I think PikaSweet is uneducated as well, but she was so sensitive with just one little point against her. I think she should have read the rules more. She hasn't contributed anything, as well as Klink and BowserFan.

SP: Yeah, I found Lynn's post when I was rereading. I also post-merged about BFG. I have to agree with you on Klinkguin - No posts, no contributions, no nothing. I still want to see what these three people want to say about these questions. What irritates me is that Klinkguin is a top poster in the forums. I'd also like to see what PikaSweet has to say for my questions.

So just a little fyi, I have made contact with the hosts and made them aware of my situation. I'm going to be having surgery at 6am tomorrow (monday) morning, and I will be leaving in a few hours to go to the hospital for the night. So, I'm going to be inactive for at least tonight and tomorrow.

lynn - i think shes just quiet in general. also she might be inactive like SP said because of some issues.

klink- maybe someone can leave them a comment? i dunno. if they were mafia then im sure their mafia friends would at least tell them to post or something??/ because im sure they dont want another repeat of mary happening and having them drag down their KP. but maybe they dont check the mafia chat at all. or they dont care really

browser- ive never played epicmafia before but im guessing their games run much faster. maybe she meant shes waiting for something to happen (since forum mafia is longer) to happen to say something? i dont know really

also can we talk about slaughtershy?
I actually had a dance as well. Weird.
Good tip. "Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity."

i have no idea what the first quote has to do with anything. ??? i dont get what her 2nd quote is supposed to mean either.
she said she's been busy because of school, but uh? she also voted for trundle but didnt really say anything about him.

and pika just seems confused to me idk

Tsundere - Thanks for adding to the discussion! I'll drop by Private Messages for our 5 lurkers to join in: Klink, BFG, Lynn, PikaSweet, and SlaughterShy.

I VMed Klinkguin. He is one of the top posters today and even if he doesn't have anything to say, he should try sorting out a suspicions list for himself or at least start posting more. He is on his way to become modkilled and i have no problem with that.

I am here you know and I am a girl... I voted because I have been observing the thread.

It's not enough to simply observe the thread. We need you to contribute to the Mafia-hunting effort, so we can figure out your alignment.

1. No, there isn't something in real life that is affecting anything. I am just really wanting my last dreamie and paying more attention to the cycling threads.
2. No I am not disinterested. I am very interested about what is going on.
3. I am not contributing as much as you would think because I am not always sure on what to say.
4. My reason for voting was because I have been observing the thread rather than posting. I made my decision on what people have said in this thread.
I hope this solves your problems.
