Mafia TBT Mafia V: There and Back Again [Game Over/Town Win]

Is it just me, or is Superpenguin acting pretty suspicious. His avatar is a chicken, yet his username implies that he likes penguins? I'll let you decide what's really going on here.

##Vote: SUPERPENGUIN YOU

@Oath: Every day one post is essentially useless.

AND NO LYNCH IS PRETTY DUMB. IF YOU'RE UNCOMFORTABLE WITH LYNCHING A GOOD PLAYER, LYNCH A LURKER.

I agree with the no lynch statement. Wasting a perfectly good lynch with no chance of hitting red is worse then at least having a small chance by lunching a hunch or a lurker.

I stand firm with my decision. If I'm not confident in voting for someone, and keep doubting myself, I'm not going to go through with it. How would voting "no lynch" be wasting a lynch, when most likely, the person hit will be a townie? Hmm? Call me crey, but I'd rather not lynch someone than hit a townie.

Honey, there's always going to be a greater chance of hitting a townie instead of mafia. Each lynch will lead us to find mafia, though.

I'm don't want to lynch anybody when we have no leads. The person who we would lynch would likely be a townie/blue

So you decide to completely stop doing what you've done before; going with a random lynch?

It's Day One; do you expect to hit a Mafia so early?

Yes, I am not going with a random lynch when I have the no lynch option, it's day one and we have no leads so what do expect from me? And no, I don't expect to hit mafia early

Because, even though it may keep our numbers stronger we might hit townie or SK. It narrows down our list of suspects as well, plus no lynching might as been for nothin other than wasting everyone's time.

Well hopefully before majority is reached they will have posted a defense unless they're too busy with life or roleplays.

It'd be nice.

Oh jeez look at me, told myself I'd ignore Day 1 mostly and here I am.

I can see the merit of both sides. I realize there's always a chance we'll lynch town, but without anything to go on we might as well draw straws... I see a nolynch vote as less of a waste than lynching a blue to thin the numbers, and unless more information comes up, that's where I'll be sitting on day 1.

And, just to help out, here are the following people who still need to post (pre-game doesn't count):
  • Kuma
  • Trundle
  • River
  • Justin
  • LaurinaMN
  • You
  • FireNinja1
  • FanousOnTheLoose
  • TheCreeperHugz
  • Jeremy
  • Minties

If we're lynching an inactive, we certainly have a nice set of people to choose from. If not, then I don't know who I'd recommend. I'd probably go with Dolby, but that's probably my bias talking.

I don't have much to go on since this is the first day and I've never played forum mafia. I often don't vote on the first day in IRC mafia anyway.

I don't have much to go on either, I was just listing the inactives.

Yeah, day one sucks...

That still isn't going to stop me from at least trying to analyse people's posts.

I decided to switch my vote to Prin. We need a majority and that obviously will not happen with Kayla at this point. I'd rather we lynch someone than no one, and I don't feel comfortable with lynching Dolby, because he seems to be acting like his normal town self. Which is annoying in its own right, but we'll just have to deal with him like always.

Prin was quick to jump on board for the No Lynch and then quickly shifted over to Blu Rose. I don't know whether or not this behavior is just because she is new, or is just going with the crowd to hide. Either way, we should lynch someone Day One, and if it's not going to be Kayla today, then let's go for Prin.

I'm actually not sure if Dolby is trolling or not. He could be banking on the fact that we'll all assume he's just an idiot.

Prin is new to Mafia V, she obviously went for the bandwagon. I don't blame her though. Dolby is just a distraction and Creeper/Lunatic jumped on.

I get that it's hard to choose Day One lynch, but there is still so much time left.

I'd be willing to go for Prin as well as Kayla at least got the chance to defend herself. Not sure if all players read her defense though.

I would really like to hear Prin's defense. She may be new, but she has jumped very quickly to whatever would get majority. Day one, we're going in blind and hoping we hit red. I agree that it would not be smart of us to vote no lynch. I would be willing to cast my vote for Prin .

Detective please do everyone here a favor and inspect ILoveYou. We need to sort out her role so we can see whether to take this strong player seriously or not. Don't wait around do it tonight.

I was going to vote for Blu Rose first, before I changed to no lynch. I changed my mind a little bit later and decided to lynch him. I actally wasn't paying attention to what other people voted for.(Well, I was a bit).
It may be a blind vote, but I think he should be lynched. Lynch me and you'll definitely hit Town instead of Mafia... Still, I may be slightly unsure... i'm debating whether I should vote for the lurkers or stay on Blu Rose?

UGHHH DOUBLE POSTT

I was going to ##VOTE: NO LYNCH because I was unsure if I actually wanted to lynch Blu Rose. I hadn't got suspicious as of then of anyone else, so I just voted No Lynch. Now that I was certain, I decided to vote for Blu Rose anyways. It just so happens that someone else had voted for him too. Also, I was the one who posted my suspicions on him in the first place.

And on the subject of my defense...
Quite the opposite really, scum tend to be scared of standing out, and there's nothing more obvious than being the outspoken person pointing fingers
I am the unspoken person pointing a finger to Blu Rose. If scum are scared of standing out, wanting to go unnoticed, why am I doing this instead of just lurking? Aren't mafia supposed to stay away and try to avoid posting? Aren't I doing the exact opposite? If I was mafia, I would probably be the same. Being a new player may make me suspicious, because you aren't exactly 100% certain how I play. But I think you need a little more evidence before you start lynching me. You'll probably be lynching Town.

It's not set in stone. Scum need to do more than just lurk in the shadows. Of course some are going to be active and try to push us towards an innocent. In Mafia III I was a mafia role blocker and still behaved as an active pro-town member.

Your biggest flaw so far has been voting in the same style as a suspect (in this case iLoveYou), immediately after them, and then waiting a while before posting any reasoning for your vote. It's as if, as a new player, you thought it would be okay to simply follow a stronger player's judgement. It's not a clever move for mafia, but you've said yourself you're a new player: a new player is more likely to make the mistake of following a stronger member of their team too closely.

But I think you need a little more evidence before you start lynching me. You'll probably be lynching Town.

Hang on, can I point out this bit?
I may have understood this wrong, but if we lynch you, we'll probably be lynching town? Are you uncertain of your allegiance? Or was that Mafia slipping up with their words?

You will be lynching town. Earlier, someone said how we are just taking a blind hit. I can be town or I can not be. But the fact is, I am town.
I know I am a noob at this, but still >.<.
