I have always treated factional kills as being a kill that is inherent to your faction. This means Mafia KP, and also serial killer's kill powers. Vigilantes are not factional, because their faction is town, which does not have an inherent kill. That's not to say it's how it works this game.

What is the definition of a factional kill for this game?

I'm gonna post my thoughts right now, so I'll be making a post, just saying that I'm still /here/.

I suppose Nick has been acting strange, but doesn't he always act like this? I mean, yeah it's pretty annoying sometimes, but I only remember him being scum in Portal Mafia, he was quiet.

Here are some of my thoughts at the moment.

First off, Karla is giving me scum vibes at the moment, but that's not unusual for an early game with him. While it's a lot easier to tell after he starts making full on cases against people, it isn't at the moment.
At the same time, his fight with Superpenguin is really giving me a hard time. Superpenguin's posting style always gives a "lack of care" attitude, but I know that's his normal attitude in the game.
But, after Karla was accused, I found it odd how quickly he went to try to switch the topic over to other players.


It seems odd to me that he only took action after he was accused. Before that, he was quite quiet and wasn't sharing much of his opinion. I want to ask, Karla, why you rarely called anyone out before you were accused.
Either way, I don't think you're scum per say, but I still have my suspicions.
Next, I'd like to see what Sataric has to say. I know he had something earlier that "would make sense later" or something of the sort. We need some thoughts from oath2order as well. You both kinda flew under the radar and haven't posted much since.

It's simple really. The best kind of defence is an offence. Although I'm under the gun, my objective is still the same - to find scum. I argue for why the case against me is weak, and I point out my own suspicions. Am I redirecting attention from myself? Of course I am, I'm innocent, why would I be happy with town continuing to waste their time on me.

You quote three posts of mine where I turn my attention to other players. The first of which was a long one against Natty. Yes I'm taking action after I was accused because I had no solid reads before I was accused. Remember this sentence from my post?

I guess the only good thing that could come of our roleblocker being in the open on a misguided attempt to find scum, is that it'll be easy to see who are the opportunistic scum waiting to jump on this ****ty lynchwagon.

It was interesting to see which players were eager to jump on me. That gave me information, which helped me develop my reads. I didn't spring to action simply because I was accused, I sprung to action because I got useful information as a result of being accused.

I think it's because he thinks I'm scum roleclaiming Mark after he already mentioned wanting to be called Mark. Except if I was scum, there's no way on earth I'd go and put myself in a vulnerable place like that.

No one would expect roleclaims, though, and I don't see why else Tina would include a player's name who was scum and thrown overboard in Pirates I. Tina has said countless times this game is a continuation, what better way to make it a continuation then give the scum players rolenames that go with the names of the players thrown overboard (with any alignment) in the first game? It would make sense those people became sirens.

Plus, it's really just that Kayla is the name of the Miller that really shows how plausible this is.
