Exactly, and I would be in favor of a Punchy/Dolby/Vanessa team. Toads knows that there's no way you aren't on practically all of the next missions, so he's trying to stop you from sending one whole alignment (either him/Antonio or me/Vanessa) so that it's unclear to you what alignment contains the scum team.

And it would make sense for the partner to distance himself somewhat too, especially if by that point I was already laying into you. Yeah, and if you were critically thinking like a townie was, you'd know that Antonio is new scum who's had one and a half day/night cycles experience. Distancing from a teammate or knowing when to bus takes experience, so 1. He did it organically, then why not try to scapegoat someone else when I'm not a lost cause yet considering that rn Vanessa is townleaning me and all three of us can't be scum or 2. I coached him. If I'm coaching him why did he put forward a scumteam with neither of us on it? That's just leaving towncred on the table

Antonio is not an advanced enough player to come to the conclusion to try to make town think that we're incompatible
