Anyone notice this? Tina wanted strong players to shoot early, but weak players to hold off. And then we see that weaker players died last night. Perhaps this was Tina's way of getting rid of the vigs without them shooting.
Keep in mind, mafia just has to get past this lynch and next lynch and they win if vigs do not get involved. Obviously the mafia would want to get the vigs out.
I was thinking along the lines that a strong player would have a better chance of striking mafia with their hit than a weaker player would simply due to the analytical skill involved. With this time constraint the vigilante(s) shouldn't just shoot blindly.
I have placed my vote for
Champ2749.
Although some of his posts in this thread could simply be newbie mistakes, his behaviour in the IRC last night was more than questionable:
[00:08:38] <oath2order> it be sooner if I get last action
[00:08:59] <Tom29193> Harass the last player
[00:09:16] <oath2order> i did
[00:09:40] <Cory> is that person online?.
That final line was the first thing to catch my attention. I don't see why a town player would even think to ask that. It doesn't really provide any information: they don't even know whether that action is red or blue. However, assuming he's scum, he would know whether or not the mafia had already sent in their night actions. If this is true, then I think it's safe to say that he was trying to work out the identity of a blue player.
He didn't just drop it after this either. Twenty-five minutes later he asked the host again:
[00:32:45] <Cory> oath did the person still not pm you
And, finally, another two hours later he again pesters the host.
[02:42:04] <Cory> did the last person still not send it in?
[02:42:13] <Superpenguin> what last person?
[02:42:22] <Superpenguin> Are you referring to a scummate, you scum?
I've a feeling
Champ2479 was keeping an eye on the 'online user' list here on TBT (or even the thread itself) the whole time in order to try and figure out a blue role. I didn't think to check his online activity, so I've unfortunately nothing to back this up with, and I left shortly after that final message (I went to bed at 3am) so I don't know if he continued to behave this way until the Day 2 post went up.
Something I recall coming up, but didn't save, was his public speculation on another player having an action role. I think
Tom was also there? I'm not sure how wise it is to share that person's name in case this was exactly what he was doing. If he dies and flips red then I'll share it because no doubt this is something the mafia would know already.
Also, note that the times shown here are in GMT. The Day 2 post went up at 5am my time.
