That is what Newbie Mafia is for, this is the main in a sense but a smaller version, find out clues to who is mafia, make cases and post stuff that is meaningful and has depth, not talking about bloody cider.

Read what's in front of you. That's not to say skim through it and then scroll down to the next post - really read it. Analyse it. Look at how people phrase things. Look at their ideas, and try to think of that from both a town and scum perspective. Try to work out why a person is acting the way they are, why they're targeting certain people, or why they might type something a specific way. Really think about what you're reading: then if something comes up as suspicious, post your findings or ask that person questions to try and get a better understanding of them.

I don't know how old you are, but skills you learned while analysing literature in school will apply here.

Look, if you ask me, it can be learned just think. Me, Tina, SP, Pally and nearly all the other Mafia veterans learnt without Newbie Mafia and we learnt the hard way, we had Karla... Now thats never a good thing if he thinks you're mafia.

Only thing made clear is 4 mafia, meaning there's probably 2 KP and it's probably a friend of Tsundere and Natty who is active in the IRC.

Not true. I post little when I'm scum, I post little when I'm blue, I post little when I'm green.
However, I've also posted a lot when I was scum, a lot even I was blue, and a lot when I was green.

I can actually confirm this. Pally would post very little in the games I've been in where she was scum. Still made over safari mafia, she was silent most of the game and we didn't suspect until it was too late.

Okay, well, Aerious brings up a great place to start looking for suspicious players, and that's finding the people Tsundere and Natty are friends with in the IRC, as those are the people who may have killed them.

Well, here is the list of people playing who I consider are ones that talk to Tsundere and Natty whenever they are in the IRC:

Tina
Ashtot
Aerious (???)
Alice (???)
Kaiaa (???)

I tried to widen the list as much as I could so we'd have a bit more to work with. Anyone with the (???) means I am unsure of how social they usually are to Tsundere and Natty. :3

And then to add to that list, I'd also like to bring C r y s t a l to everyone's attention as she hasn't made a single post since the game started. Her only two posts in this thread were from pre-game. She has a reputation for inactive, and I really don't think she will be shattering that reputation anytime soon. That being said, however, I think a vig can be left to deal with her over an entire day's lynch.

I only talk to Tsun in passing. I barely talk to Natty.

I have no clue why Natty was targeted. Like Kaaia said it could have been to frame you, but...you've been annoying (as hell) and argumentative towards half the players in this game so I don't see how Natty in particular would be convincing.

Anyway, I agree with this. Natty wouldn't really have been someone to kill off unless mafia were framing SP. It just doesn't make sense otherwise. Is there anyone who would kill Natty or tsundere off for personal reasons (ex: past game reasons/personal reasons)

THIS!! this so much. i was going to call out crazy-gamer on the way she is portraying herself as someone who has no idea what she was doing, because after playing three(? i think) games with her so far and seeing how she posts, it seems like she's learned a LOT quite quickly. yes, she does usually flounder a bit and her responses are usually short and not hugely full of substance, but she plays a subtle game.

the first game i saw her in, crazy-gamer bandwagoned instantly whenever she saw that someone was becoming a popular lynch target. this was because, as she verified, she didn't really know what she was doing and didn't see bandwagoning as a bad thing. then, in newbie mafia, where she was scum, she kept this playstyle and fought even harder for bandwagoning, claiming that she was just a bandwagoner and she didn't see anything wrong with it just like her first game, when in reality, she was scum, and playing it that way made her look like the same confused townie she was in her first game.

and now she's doing it again. and i don't trust her one bit for it. by now, crazy-gamer should know exactly how this game goes.

also, as for crazy-gamer, i do agree that they seem scummy. but i have little more to offer on that since sunshinetea wrapped it up quite well.
