MICE MICE HOW DID I NOT NOTICE THIS THREAD UNTIL NOW
*ahem*
Mice are my favourite species, tied with the plain 'ol birds!
(Oops, I may have voted for all of them! I'd gladly accept any mouse. But right now Bella's at the top for me! Adorable little rocker whose birthday is next week!)
I've seen a fair amount through the years (rip to Carmen, Chico, Flossie, and Penny) and have so far only been host to three in NH! I'm pacing through them slowly hehe
I'd be tempted to do an all-mouse or all-bird town/island if there was an uchi of their species!
But I also like my variety and having some villagers taller than my character

Including some pics because why not!

I don't think I've ever had mouse villagers, or at least not that I remember. But I really like chadder's design - the cheese theme is cute and his smug personality really goes with it. I'd love to have him in a future town!

I'm not a huge fan of the mouse villagers, something about their proportions just seem off to me.. but I really like Rod and Broccolo! Rod's piratey theme and color scheme is cute and I kinda like Broccolo's little fringe ❤

This was hard for me. I’d have to say I’m split between three mice usually:

- Bree
- Bettina
- Rod

Bree has been my favorite mouse since ACPC, because I never noticed the mice in Animal Crossing. However, Rod is probably the cutest to me. I ended up picking Bettina cus she’s adorable, matches my autumn theme, and her house is so pretty with the warm tones to go with my island!

I wish they would expand more on the mice and add more rodents too. :’c

I personally voted for Dora, Bettina and Greta, because theyre all so cute and thsy would def be my first choices if i needed a mouse on my island. but i can see rod's appeal too, hes prob honestly a favorite of mine as well lol

Dora. I've never really been a fan of mice in Animal Crossing, but recently, Dora moved onto my island, and she's a cute little snow mouse.

Update on my Rod addiction: I got a sticker for my laptop! So whenever I open it up, I’m greeted by a friendly face.

If you guys haven’t already, I recommend getting a sticker of your favorite villager and putting it somewhere you can see it. It’ll help brighten up your day, especially if it’s accompanied by a cute quote—like Katrina’s “bad days are days that are bad” or Leif’s “do what makes you happy.” ❤

I personally haven't had any of them yet but im for some reason not very fond of the mouse aesthetic to be honest but i will invite them over to my island at some point to get to know them im not shutting them off my island

Rod is my personal favorite because I think he looks adorable with those big eyes, tuff of hair, and his bandana. I love his pirate theme too!

I also like Broccolo, Bettina, Chadder, and Penelope! I think they're all very cute and honestly I'm surprised they aren't more popular, particularly Penelope because of her cute and cleverly placed bow!

it's sweet to see so much appreciation for the mouse villagers! and i might just have to buy a Rodney sticker after that suggestion...
as for my favourite mouse villager I would say perhaps Dora? I've admittedly never really had an interest in any of them but Dora seems sweet

There are so many fantastic mice! Bella, Greta, Brocollo, and Chadder are my favorites.

Bella I like for her expressions. She looks so evil and demented, I think it's funny. Peppy villagers can sometimes sound a little nefarious, and I think she plays off of that well.

I know she's not super popular, but I love Greta. She's just so cute. She's based on a Noh Japanese theater mask just like Shino is. But in Greta's case it's the otafuku mask, which symbolizes a cheerful, lucky woman. Whereas Shino has a mask for a jealous, female demon.

Chadder is also super cool. I love cheddar cheese so much, it's one of my favorite foods. And I think it's hilarious they made a mouse out of cheese.

I'm also really fond of Broccolo. I love his shade of blue, and I think the higher pitched voice that Jocks have goes perfectly with a mouse.

Moose is...interesting. I had him in my village for awhile recently. His eyebrows are always in the same weird position. He looks especially funny in glasses because of that, which he wears often:

Samson is also interesting. Something about him reminds me of an old cartoon mouse, like Tom and Jerry era. He has some fun expressions. He's another that I had in my town recently.

Penelope I really like because her design makes her look like she's wearing a giant bow, part of which are her cute pink ears. I'm going to try her on my island sometime.

Apparently Rizzo is based on a famous Robinhood type thief, and the weird little hood he has is a stereotypical clothing in Japan for someone sneaking around. I feel like I appreciate him a bit more now that I know that.

Rod, Anicotti, Bree, and Petri are all mice I'm going to try in my village at some point as well.

I like Rod. He has the sea view wallpaper and the sea deck flooring in New Leaf. I always liked this house. I think Chadder is also a nice mouse villager. I’m not a fan of many of the mice, unfortunately.

Why did I think Rizzo’s bandana mask thing was his hair??

I voted for Bettina, friendly little chef mouse with cool hair and awesome house.

I recently moved Bettina in from the campsite she is adorable.I had never had her as a villager.

I don’t personally care for any of the male mice, and on the opposite end I don’t think there’s a single female mouse I don’t think is great.
