The circle pad on my 3Ds tore

I haven't played my 3Ds in about a month, so today I went to play and the rubber on my circle pad just suddenly tore. I don't know what happened or how to fix this. Does anyone know what I can do?

I think that almost everything that goes wrong with a 3DS should be sent back to Nintendo for repair. You wouldn't wanna botch it up and then mess up your warranty.

Would an older 3Ds still be under warrenty? Mine is four or five years old. And does it cost anything for repair? Also the little code thing on the bottom came off... would that effect anything?

Just rip it off entirely. That's what I did when mine ripped. It doesn't affect your gameplay at all.

The warranty is 12 months. I believe that, after 12 months, you have to pay for any repairs. Could be wrong about that last part.

Well it completely ripped off now by itself. I guess it's just been worn down after so many years.

ur 3ds reminds exactly reminds me of my old one since it was the same color and model. I had it up until this year, and it was in great condition for being 4 or 5 years old. Sure the circle pad looked like a bear scratched, it but it was fine XD The only thing that didn't work was the charging port so I had to charge it with the charging station thing that it came with and that's how I survived. Traded it in at gamestop, got an XL refurbished. As for your 3ds, maybe try getting a new one or does it still work fine after the thing came off?

I'm pretty sure Nintendo offers repairs for a fee plus shipping.
There was someone here on TBT last year the same thing happened to him.
