I hoped for more new invented holidays like 'Grass Day'
and somehow I hoped for the little 'holidays/events' from AC:WW like 'La-Di-Day' or the flower fest
but I think it's okay as it is :) and I love the changes for Christmas and Harvest Festival even so I don't really know how it will work out...

I'm going to miss the flower fest and the bright nights :(
 
I guess the acorn festival isn't coming back, but that's okay, mushroom hunting is pretty fun. They have a very good line-up of holidays though! And plus, all the holidays will look so cool if they take place next to the big tree.

Flower fest and bright lights are probably the only two I even really enjoyed in WW. A shame they're taking that out, but I definitely don't mind that being out in return for actual holidays and the tourneys!
 
I love this set too <3 Maybe we get the mush set by picking mushrooms instead of acorns.. makes a lot more sense to be honest xD Though I never played the games with the mushrooms on them (I only had wild world) so correct me if there's already a furniture set for mushroom picking..
 
I'm a bit disappointed since I hoped for the sports fair, more firework festivals, la-di-day and so on.

It seems like the only cool festivals are those japanese ones which might be changed in other countries. :( Though the harvest festival sounds funny as well.

Anyway, it's going to be SUCH a great game and missing holidays is only one not-so-positive aspect.

I'm thinking that maybe that calender is only a taster and that there's more to come. Or maybe there are some little one's that aren't date-specific and just happen at random times or the 'on the third sunday' etc etc. Plus like you said, there may be different ones for the UK and America so it's specific to different countries :) Fingers crossed because everything else seems perfect <3
 
Oh my god and what about the flee market!?!?
I totally forgot about this one since I haven't played AC for ages ('cause my DS game card was stolen and my wii is broken)... but I can't find it on the calendar. I really hope that LilyElizabeth is right and that some of the festivals and holidays are just not listed yet in order to keep us excited...

Well, the sports fair might still be in the game, since the mushroom event hasn't been mentioned in the calendar either......just my hopes.... :)

But the mushroom furniture could also be "normal" furniture now. I remember that some pieces of the sweets series were normal items in Wild World while they were much more expensive and exclusive Gracie-items in City Folk. So... it could be possible that the acorn festival has been removed completely and that the mushroom furniture is now for sell in the tanooki's shop... :s
