EBWOP : ... not been lynched D1, *or else NK'd N1*...

Also, that. Had Waffled not been lynched D1, and been NKd, then glow would still have been around D2 and beyond pursuing Waffles at our expense.

I don't see how that's anything but a hostile party to Town.

Ahhh this lag :/

So if there is a trapper and say not allow any of our blue roles to do anything, then we expect only kill right?

I dont think mafia will visit who they trap because that means death for both the trap and the visitor.

So if you are blue , lets test this theory. dont do anything and see if we have one kill...

what you guys think?

hostile 3rd parties are ones that actively reduce numbers, can kill people

a lyncher doesn't take people out of the game, they just try to get someone lynched... the fact that glow could've been a survivor/jester makes me even feel like she was passive 3rd party.

I'm trying to account for the kills we had last time through all this, so we can know what were dealing with.

1. A trapper nicely explains the kills, but is farfetched.

2. 3 person mafia with set 1 kp and a SK (Goon, RBer, DoubleVoter maybe?)

3. 2 person mafia both with trackable roles, KP set to 2... granted this could overlap with tracker too, but I highly doubt this because the secret voter is more than likely a mafia role (we know its not vote thief because it acted day 1)

There is also the possibility of the DVer being an add on to another role... I did that in RHOM

then let's test that trapper theory of yours.

and if we still have 2 kp, then an SK is a possibility

nevermind though, mafia could be reading the plans and adjusting their kill modes based on our discussions

Just rethought about it, lynchers are definitely NOT hostile.

Hostile = kills people

If a mafia team equals or outnumbers town, but there is a SK... the game continues because SK is HOSTILE
If a mafia team equals or outnumbers town, but there is a lyncher... the game ends and mafia wins, Lyncher just loses

typically all wincons described in role PMs are vague to incorporate the possibility of hostile third parties. "all hostile parties" yada yada, check your own role PM to see what I mean

oh but Ness was very specific

i meant if mafia outnumber town, and sk is still there, sk loses based on ness wincon for mafia

that's not ness's mafia wincon on the OP, thats just a general description for mafia and town alignments. And what you just described above would make it even harder for a SK to win.

Its just a general mafia rule, if mafia equals or outnumbers town, but a hostile party remains (traitor, SK, inquisitor, whatever) then the game continues

oh thats what you're looking at... yeah that is pretty set in stone, I was looking at the thing above

hm... I wanted a SK to start killing mafia for us though :(

so does this change any of the theories on what could be?

that would be nice though for sk to kill mafia targets lol

so toads, what could Locket possibly do at this point?

it just kinda throws out the idea of a SK, more likely a high-powered two person mafia team. The other thing is ness intended this to have more players, so maybe he took the double voter and just slapped it onto one of the other roles. Trapper is still a little out there, probably a role blocker double voter. But I would be shocked if the DVer is town aligned

A trapper role stops being powerful when all the roles that move at night get killed, so it could lower the kill power eventually too

I like farobi's framer idea though, so that could be a whole other facet to this

I personally believe there is no SK as it will put a lot of burden on us , but your trapper theory is very interesting

The fact that both people who died night 1 were blue roles is what piqued my interest about that

I would prefer for locket to survive tonight because at least we can have one cleared town on D3 and focus on the rest. In light of Punchy flipping green, I am more certain that Amanda is town too.

okay so im gonna go to sleep soon

i'll catch up tomorrow after school and make decisions

this is all i'll get and the page won't load the rest of the way

Huh. So there's a few different angles we can think about now. That's good. I need to go lock up Trapper and see how it works, I've Bieber heard of it before. And I'll check the other ones mentioned, too.
