Not my thing, but I think furries are too trashed by everyone. I've heard of... a few who're into actual zoophilia and that's where we draw the line, but the others I think just like a human with human anatomy and an animal exterior. It's not like they're sexualizing actual wolves. Wolves don't walk in two legs, they don't have butts or human breasts. Yet furries make their characters with these things.

Tbh when an anthro animal starts to look like 95% human (especially with human-esque breasts) then it actually does start to bother me. I have a lot of anthro characters and the only human trait is that they generally walk on two legs, but the rest of it is all animal traits.

Technically I'm a furry- but also not really? I do really really wanna get a fursuit one day! At least a partial one, with a head and paws. That just sounds super cool.
I really hate how people have such a trash opinion on furries. My 12 year old cousin is a furry- that doesn't make her... you know, she just likes drawing anthro animals. That being said she's an amazing artist, actually better than me.
I have a really big respect for furries. I mean like... they really be making money off of drawing peoples fursonas, and I don't just mean in the gross ways. Also, I've seen furries in the middle of heatwaves wearing full suits, so respect, man.

okay, i suppose dramatically moving the goalposts of what constitutes as a furry so your friends don't make fun of you is a secure, adult strategy.
but i'm nearing my 30s in the real dog eat dog world and i have come up with something revolutionary:
most people don't care about your interests because they have their own. if you are a fan of anthropomorphic animals in any shape or form, it's ok with me--i'm a furry too

Awww but yeah the adult world sucks..
I would say that I'm Furry at heart and I look at it in an artistic point of view and a mean of self expression, however I would also say that I'm not really part of the community as upon observation I noticed a lot of toxicity that I'd rather not be associated with but I have nothing against respectful individuals.
