i actually don't recommend doing this. it'll most likely just cause more issues because some parents don't tolerate this stuff

your parents should know that this is a rather loving community and there's nothing wrong with the people here. animal crossing is a completely innocent game and it even educates people in a way (the museums have descriptions on everything you donate, you learn some minor yet helpful tips on planting trees that apply to real life, and it's something fun to play to fill in time). tbt is also used for trading items in the game, so maybe you can tell her that you're using the forums to trade with people in game

it's fine, i get what you mean. i should have clarified -- the ratio of kind people heavily outweighs the ****ty people here imo, so everyone can just ignore any negative people. there are only like two or three negative people i can recall at the moment and i'm sure there's more out there, but besides that, the people who approach sugarella in general are really nice - especially since they started a thread to wish her farewell

You both are right, and wrong. TBT is more like Facebook or Twitter, or Reddit, or any other forum; they are simply experiences. You can't always have good in life, without bad; and you can't have bad without good. With the sweethearts and people who'd bend over backwards for you, you also have the salties, the butthurts, and the just plain nasty. They all come with the package of an experience.

Yes, people will bully her, and yes, they will be sweet to her. Life is an experience, you can't just have one of everything with an experience, because with the bad you become better yourself. Before I was on TBT, I used to overreact and flip out when people were nasty to me. Now? I just ignore them, or watch karma screw them over. I don't feed fuel to the fires anymore, instead I watch the fires burn and scar people.

I talked to my mom about this forum, and I showed her all the boards. She said it was fine to go on, as long as I only talked to people around my age range. What she means is that I can stay, as long as I only talk to 11-16 yr olds, and not 30+ year olds.

So I guess I'm staying! Again I feel bad for causing all this sadness
