The Villager Giveaway Thread!

I personally think you should stick to the first come first serve.
I think just because someone posts about a pet on every page every day doesn't mean they want a villager more than anyone else. I really want Chrissy, but I wouldn't post about it every hour on here because I find it to be clutter.
/my opinion

I second this opinion. Some people like to chat, some people don't. But doesn't mean a villager's value in their hearts are any less than another.

Does anyone know if there's a limit to how many villagers you can convince to move to your town within the same day? If it's possible to do that, would all the new villagers move in on the next day? Or would they the move in one by one within the next few days?

I've been wondering this as well!

Wow... this thread got really depressing... but I feel as though the guy who said "dips" shouldnt get her... I mean... I've never even heard of him..[/CENTER]

I don't really like this line of thinking. I understand wanting to give a very popular villager to someone who's been seeking her hardcore, but that right there that I quoted seems awfully mean to the person who posted first. I lurked for a long time before posting, and when I posted to get one villager someone who had been waiting for a long time posted multiple things that made me really uncomfortable for getting her. I would never want someone else to feel that way, it sucks and building a thread based solely on old regular posters is just going to form an insular community.

Yeah, I don't post that much, doesn't mean I don't have favorite villagers though. Like, Zucker is one of my most wanted villagers but I'm gonna sit out when you give him away so someone else gets a shot at him.

I'd stay with first come, first serve. This has happened to a lot of other people, the situation isn't really any different imo.

Just use the spreadsheet?
First person on the spreadsheet get?s first serve, if they have space?
That would be fair I think, and the people who are on here a lot probably already posted their names on there.

And that is why I always try to say Congrats :3 Even if I'm sad--I'd feel worse if I made the person feel bad for getting their dream villager. Just because I want them too doesn't mean anyone should feel bad.

The main reason it was mentioned that people don't do that is because the person isn't always on and most people don't just keep the villagers there for long periods of time.

Sometimes the first person isn't online and TTers often want to get rid of their villagers quickly so they can continue TTing and giving away villagers. Also, the spreadsheet is editable by anyone and tbh someone could move their name up or even delete someone else if they had a mind to (not that I'm saying anyone would, that would be quite rude - but it's still a non-zero possibility).

I agree too
you can't determine something like that with something as trivia as wether they post regularly on this thread or not..
it's a public thread and it should be fair to anyone

Anyone here have Agnes, Francine, Baabara, Hamphrey, or Kabuki moving out? I'd be bery grateful.

You are a really sweet person, I admire that :) It can be hard because even though it's just a game, not getting something you really want can still hurt! Or it does me anyway, hahah

But it's nice to be happy for others.

I don't think it should be spreadsheet at all, it would take forever to wait for villagers to be given out if someone wants to TT away a bunch a night.

if you just have someone moving out or just do some lite TT and don't mind waiting the spreadsheet is a great option.

Just go down the list and check if any of them is on, if not then post here?
or just post here, and first person gets the villager, I?m for first come first serve, that?s the only fair thing in my opinion.

I see if the person is really dedicated to my villager. If they have them as a dream villager, then they get them. You can tell I'm dedicated to Lobo.

Aww T~T Thanks. And yeah, definitely. I tend to take a lot of things seriously so it can be hard sometimes XD But I know I'd get really upset if someone did that to me--definitely wouldn't want anyone else to feel that way.

I don't timetravel--I'm just saying this is what was said in the past as for why the spread sheet isn't you.

meh chaos called first come first serve, someone made a raffle, someone just picked me for merengue, it depends on the person

Ill use the spreadsheet, but if the person isn't online then ill post here. And I feel bad doing it that way lol because I would love to wait for whoever really wants them to get online, but a lot of times I wanna dump off the villager and go to the next one.

Hello! I just made an account, but I'd been following for a few days. Can someone explain what the spreadsheet is?
