Tokyo 2020-your thoughts!

So the 2020 Olympic games has been located in Tokyo!
What are your thoughts?
Are you living in Japan?
Do you think you'll go?
Would you rather Madrid or Istanbul got It?

Personally I think it's a great place to hold it, but the only issue is the time difference!
Madrid would of been best for me and then Istanbul!

Also are you going to Rio in 2016?

Lol shouldn't we think of Rio before Tokyo? In 2020, I'll be 22, and probably not in Japan,though it would be amazing to even be in the location of the Olympics by that time... *v* (Sadly, I'll be working at Walmart... -.-")

I'm glad Tokyo has been chosen! It's been a long time since the Olympic games were in Japan. Although I'm not looking forward to seeing how the English TV channels cope with the Japanese

It is something to think about making a trip for, though, thats a long time in the future so maybe I won't be around then but who knows. I'm happy for Tokyo, I'm sure a great show will be put on!

To answer the OP - I don't really care too much because I've been olympiced-out They were hosted in my country last year, and now I don't think any olympics again will be as exciting for me But I'm happy that Japan was chosen

I'm a little surprised they chose Tokyo. I thought they don't have much space there. Then again, if the Olympics have been held in Beijing, Tokyo shouldn't be any worse either.

I would rather it be in Madrid because then I could watch most of it but I'm happy for Japan. I was happy that it was in London last year because I am in the same timezone.

Better start saving up then, I really want to go to Japan in the future so maybe going for the Olympics will be a great time- sure Tokyo will be EVEN busier but I'd probably go for one of the horse events and then spend sometime in some smaller towns. 7 years should be enough time to save up (I'm not going to Uni, so that will be a ton of money saved ), I'll be 24 then so I'll definitely be okay to go by myself or with some friends!

I've already been to the Paralympics last year and I seriously doubt I'll go to Rio (I've heard some bad things about how behind they are with getting their stadiums built) so I'm looking forward to seeing how they will deal with the timezone difference in terms of broadcasting.
