“Assorted” Collector
In the past couple of days, I have been interested into finding out everyone who won a contest or event on this site. In the past 36 hours, I managed to find out the names of every winner on this site. According the lists I recently compiled, 199 members as of May 1st, 2019, have won an official site contest or event since 2011. This does not include raffle winners (like the winners of the 2016 and 2017 Advent Calendar raffles), TBT People’s Choice Awards winners, top scorers in the Arcade, winners of the 2013 Easter event and the 2013 Halloween event, and winners of contests held by other users. But it counts everyone who has won a trophy, a TBT Fair animated collectible, and/or other special seasonal collectibles like the golden egg and special snowflake. Even if you only won just one, and from the help of a raffle, you still count as a winner.
In the next few entries, I will go over the names of everyone who has won a contest or event so far, using their current usernames rather than the usernames recorded after the event has ended. The reason why I would like to do that is because I want to help keep track of everyone who won in TBT’s history, not just the recent contests or events. If the staff were to find a way to archive past winners or if someone were to start a invite-only group that invites those who previously won a contest, they can use these blog entries as a reference since they have every site winner recorded so far.
The first part of the archives is a list of everyone who won a contest, including the contests they won so far. These are basically contests you can win trophy collectibles if you place in the top three. Of the 35 contests ever held (including Pokémon Tournaments and Smash Tournaments from the TBT Fair events), only 85 members have won, with 15 of them winning more than one contest. It’s also worth saying that only 32 members have won a contest in first place, as we had 32 runner-ups and 33 second runner-ups.
Clash of the New Leaves:
After the worldwide release of Animal Crossing: New Leaf, the staff hosted an event celebrating the release of the new game. You can participate in contests, win a Prima guide of Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and earn some TBT Bells. Three contests have been held during the event. Here are the winners:
Art Contest:
The Bell Tree Fair, the most popular event on this site, first occurred in 2004 and 2005 when the site was young, then made a comeback after the release of ACNL. Towards the end of 2013, the first TBT Fair in this archive has began. Each TBT Fair has a couple of contests, where you can not only win a trophy, but you also get a rainbow feather collectible, extra tickets, and a chance to catch a restock of rare collectibles you can spend with your tickets. Here are the winners of the first set fo TBT Fair contests:
Art Contest:
The summer event of 2014 had a few contests that were interesting, including a collectible design contest that created the famous Ice Cream Swirl and Popsicle collectibles. The winners of these two contests are:
Sandcastle Creation Contest:
Due to the success and popularity of the previous fair, the TBT Fair made a comeback as a celebration of Bell Tree’s 10th anniversary. There were more contests, events, and collectibles, including the Green Fair Pinwheel (which you will see more of in part two). The winners of the next fair’s contests are:
Art Contest:
After two years of having a summer event, the staff decided to have a summer event for a third year, and this one is the last one before they started moving the TBT Fair to the summer. Everyone could only have an orange mote of flame or a blue mote of flame, and if they win a contest, they can have both. The three contests of the event were the Drawing Contest, the Writing Contest, and the Photography Contest, and the winners are:
Drawing Contest:
The Halloween event in 2015 was more interesting than the previous two years, and since then, it has improved over the years. But the biggest one was the TBT Spooktacular, which had two contests, including a collectible design contest that introduced the spellectibles. The winners are:
Deceitful Disguise:
The TBT Fair has returned in 2016 as it followed the Summer Nights theme, where you can light the night sky. It included five contests like always, but it also introduced Championship Series, where you can play online with other members. The two Championship Series where a contest took place on involved Pokémon and Smash. The winners that year are:
Art Drawing Contest:
One year after the night-themed TBT Fair was the retro-themed TBT Fair. Despite being bigger in terms of organization, this 80’s themed fair had only three contests opposed to five, but it had the same Championship Series events as the last year, including the two that a contest was held on. The winners of these contests are:
Retro Drawing Contest:
Normally, the Egg Hunt is the only activity in Easter, but in 2019, there was an egg decorating contest where people decorate eggs by painting with fine detail or adding decorations to the egg. There was only one contest, but it was the first contest since 2017 when trophies were awarded.
Egg Decorating Contest:
The other two contests I documented did not issue the trophies like you would get in a TBT Fair contest, but I chose to document these because they were voted on and ranked, and they were awarded collectibles you could hardly get. These were the Holiday Secret Santa’s Signature Contest of 2012 (the earliest contest documented) and the pumpkin carving contest from The Woods Expedition 2 event (the latest contest by far). These winners will appear again in part three, but here are the standings of these two contests.
Holiday Secret Santa’s Signature Contest:
I would like to congratulate all 85 of these members for winning at least one of these contests in the top three, inlcuding the 15 members that placed in the top three at least two times. Of those members, Chibi.Hoshi, Laudine, and LilyBloom won a contest three times, but only one member has placed in the top three four times. He was also the first member to win all three trophies. Congratulations B3N for achieving this feat!
