PSA: ACNL update *11/11 update A few questions have been asked regarding whether I will be including the new villagers in the next update. As of right now, you cannot trade certain new villagers via wifi, so the list will remain the same, for now, in terms of villager count. To obtain Epona, Ganon, W.Link, Cece, Viche, Inkwell, Felyne, Toby, Chelsea, Chai, Marty, Etoile, Rilla, Holden, and Medli, you will have to purchase the amiibo cards yourself. With the December 2nd launch, the 50 unranked villagers found at the bottom of this post will eventually be included in each tier.​

I know you're still working on it, but how often do you think you'll update the popularity lists?

Also, what's wrong with having a top 10? I know this is your thread, but I personally don't think 10 is too much for being the most popular. IMO, 7 is a bit of a weird number.

• This list is used as a guide to help cyclers/sellers determine how easy it is for a villager to sell.
• This is in no way suppose to influence who you have in your town, pick villagers that you like! There are a lot of great villagers in tier 5 that go unnoticed.
• Please remember that this list is just from my observation, and won't always be 100% accurate. Supply & demand takes a huge part in determining where villagers rank. Everyday the VTP changes and the same tier 1 villager can be sold 5x that day, which means if you start a selling thread for said villager, you most likely may not get a lot of interest that day.

Ⓠ How much can I sell a villager for?
Ⓐ Prices vary, which is why I don't have them posted. To get a basic idea of how much each tier is worth it's best to check for threads with a [Cycling] prefix. Or if you're looking for a specific villager, try searching the forums for said villager with a [Selling] prefix to see what prices they were sold at. One thing to keep in mind is originality. Some people don't mind, while some do so an unoriginal villager most likely would be worth less tbt/igb than an original.
Ⓠ How do you determine which villager goes where?
Ⓐ For a villager to increase; multiple people looking for them in lurker lists and the Looking For thread, increase in buyouts in auction threads, and ones that are sold quickly.
Ⓠ Which villagers have been in Tier 1?
Ⓐ Tia, Maple, Rudy, Bob, Coco, Melba, Francine, Lucky, Chief, Wolfgang, Skye, Apollo, Tangy, & Punchy.
Ⓠ I think a villager belongs somewhere else, why are they in tier #?
Ⓐ I am always open to suggestions/feedback. I will possibly implement your suggestion if you're active on the forums & have links or some kind of logical evidence to back up your opinion.

Ⓐ Simply put: This is all from my observation.
Ⓠ Where is "X" villager?
Ⓐ The easiest way to find a certain villager is to open all the spoilers, ctrl + f (cmd+f for mac) then search for the name.

Wow, that's a lot of movement from the last update in the top three tiers! I appreciate you rearranging the list though! It was starting to seem like so many top 2 tier villagers like Whitney and Poppy weren't being adopted. I think even if it got updated once a month it would be enough to keep the prices in check

I definitely agree that seven seems too small for the top tier, it's a bit of a weird number. I think 8 or 10 would be more appropriate? They're just more rounded to me.

Also, 7 really is a weird number and now that it's displayed in the forum I'm not liking it so much. so it might go back to 10 before I complete the entire list.

I think 10 will be good. It just makes it more rounded and seemingly complete, like having a Top 10 list.

Other than that I'm liking it! I'm glad that you're adding a Tier 6, because Tier 5 just seemed too large before. There were some that people wanted despite them being unpopular, so I think adding another tier was an excellent idea.

Unless I'm mistaken, (if thats the case, please correct me haha) tiers 4 and 5 will still be in order of popularity, and then tier 6 will be in alphabetical order, since there'll be so much of them. Tier 5 is so big because it's still being worked on and sorted through, but this is an update on what's been done so far

Good tier list btw. I agree there should be 10 in tier 1 though.

On a side note: Ankha and Julian both still have there names in tier 5 despite being in tiers 1 and 2, just a little mistake

I'm surprised Kyle wasn't moved up higher, an awful lot of people seem to go for him whenever he becomes available, same goes for Lopez. They go pretty quick as soon as somebody spots them and seem to hold their price.
Whereas I've seen Lucky having to be voided several times recently and Ankh too for that matter
