villagers have multiple of their furniture?

so i went into sherb's house and he had 2 cute wardrobes, i didn't think much of it because i've never had him before and i just thought that was his house design

apparently it's not part of his house but i never gifted him that

then the same thing happened with raymond with a den chair

i don't even have that chair in that colour and i don't know where he got it from

is this another glitch? has it happened to anyone else?? also it's weird they put the items in similar places
